We planned on using this car seat from day one, but it was too big to fit rearfacing in the back of our mid-sized sedan (Saturn L300) with the driver's seat pushed back in a comfortable position. We ended up using the Graco Snugride in both cars for the first nine months. Since we turned our daughter around, the seat fits fine but my wife cannot get the straps tight enough.

For about the same price, we got an Evenflo Triumph XL.  It fit better in my car rear facing and with its turn knob tensioners it is a cinch to get the straps tight around baby.

Our daughter seems to ride better, especially long distances in the Evenflo.  WE even swap it between cars for longer trips.

We still use both carseats, but my wife does not like the Eddie Baure because of the straps.

We were not able to use the reclining base because of its overall size.

The armrests and all of the padding are nice.
