I have had all kinds of car seats, from graco, evenflo, eddie bauer, and britax. Britax is my favorite, unfortunately i didnt know this before i bought this car seat. Its a pain to take apart, and to put it back together even with the instructions. When taken to a safety car seat installer they even said it is terrible. The latch never tightens fully, and by eddie bauers manual it should move one to two inches and be ok. Um no!
We have two vehicles a truck with latch that i can install it in but still not tight enough. And we have a 65 Mustang that we had seatbelts installed in the back for the carseat granted they are the old fashioned seat belts, but even the new seat belts in our truck are a pain to install with this car seat. I have tiny hands, and i have problems fitting it behind the arm rest to tighten the latch or the belt. My sons head flops down to his chest in this car seat the wings at his head are useless as is the pillow which i have taken off of the car seat. When taking it apart to wash it feels like it is breakin and the plastic on the arm rests back will break at any moment.
We are buying him a britax next week. Its definetly not safe in my opinion and not worth the 90 dollars i spent on it. Looks great but other then that i cant think of a single thing i like about it.
