great but not sanitary!

4

Let me just say, I love this brush. It buffs in foundation really well. I have used it with creams and liquid and leaves a great soft finish, I have cleaned it several times and haven't experienced any shedding, so it's a great brush, but what makes this brush a bad purchase is the retractable tin thing that it comes housed in. OMG cleaning this means water will touch the tin, which in my case has caused rusting!!! RUSTING! can you believe it? I keep my tools very sanitary, clean them all the time and it isn't enough. I dont understand. Although, I have read reviews and only one other person has mentioned this so maybe it's the one I got. either way I don't like it at all, I wish they would make this with a wooden handle. Also when trying to retract the brush down some bristles will bend and then when you close the cap they are bent until you wash it the next time. It's just a bit of a fussy brush for me. But I do love the actual brush itself!

EcoTools Retractable Kabuki Brush Review

I would just like to point out that out of all of the brushes that I have tried, including expensive high-end brushes, ecotools is my favorite makeup brush brand. They are sold at most drugstores and some other stores. Coming from the drugstore, they are so inexpensive when you compare the prices of these brushes to high end brush companies, and I found that these brushes are actually have softer bristles than some of those high-end department store brushes. This particular brush is great for applying any face setting powder, powder foundation, etc. I love that not only is this eco-friendly, but it is also very travel-friendly since it has hard packaging so that the bristles will not get messed up when the brush is squeezed into a bag or makeup bag.

Great brush!

After going through many, MANY face brushes - this brush stands up! Since it retracts, the bristles stay nice and tight and don't get ruined in your makeup bag. The bristles are really soft and put on blush/bronzer in an even tone. LOVE it!

Best Kabuki Brush Ever

5

I own several kabuki brushes, from various things that I have bought I got them with them. However, I am always going back to this one. Even though it is for travel, which would fit nicely in someone's purse I use it all the time when putting on powder. Just like all the other ecotools that I have used, it is also very soft and not harsh. Sadly, I have bought other kabuki brushes by other brands that are super hard and they hurt on my face. I do not like a brush to scratch me when I am using it. I like a brush that is nice and soft, which makes me feel good using it. I bought this for a trip that I was going on a year ago and I am still using it. Yes kabuki brushes on their own are very small but I did not all that powder and extra stuff coming off in my makeup bag. This really does a wonderful job at closing up easily and storing it away when you do not need it. I am going to use this in my purse from now on when I am on the go and need a touch up while I am out.

The best buy you'll make

I use this brush to apply my mineral foundation on every day.  The bristles are dense enought to give a great application.  You can buff out the powder easily.  The bristles are smooth and do not irritate my face.  It really gives an airbrushed look.  I 100% recommend this product.  I love the packaging, it's small and retractable so it's very easy to just put in my purse without worrying about the brush being messed up. It's cheap, affordable, great quality. I will definitely repurchase.  I've washed the kabuki several times without an issue. If I lost mine, I'd replace it in a heartbeat.  It's way cheaper than a lot of kabukis I've seen, but the quality is just as good if not better.  Usually retractables aren't that great either, but with several washes and dozens of uses, this brush is still good as new.  If I lost any bristles I don't remember and it had no negative effect.  You can also use the retractable aspect to your advantage.  If you do not retract it all the way you can get a denser application to hit hard places such as around the nose.

Looooove the EcoTools Kabuli brush

I've been using the EcoTools retractable kabuki for almost a year now and I can only say good things about it. This kabuki is the perfect addition to your travelsize tools collection. It's light but sturdy and won't take much room. Since it's retractable the kabuki is protected and will last you a long time. The best thing about it is its bristles. They are super soft and I mean really, really soft. This could definitely pass for a very expenssive makeup tool. I wash it after each use and the bristles remain just as soft. It didn't shed and is as dense now as last year when I baught it. It is a very dense brush, perfect for applying mineral pressed powder foundation for exemple. For th price you won't find a better retractable kabuki. Sure the packaging is nothing fancy and some might find it cheap looking. But remember, it costs less than 10 bucks !! Plus what matters the most when you do your makeup is the brush itself, right ? I recommend this product to enyone who wants quality and doesn't really care about having a fancy brand tool.
