Most HelpfulWhy is everyone so obsessed with the Twilight series??? I just don't get it! As I'm sitting reading Eclipse, I can't help but think everyone is mental! This whole series SCREAMS abusive relationship!!! Edward treats Bella like garbage, decides he kind of likes her and sucks her in. Then, on his own terms,...
read full review »Bella Swan has one desire--to become a vampire so that she can be immortal and be with Edward Cullen forever. Edward knows what she will miss if she gives up mortality. He knows the human aspects that she may still want. A big loss would be that...
read full review »I started reading the "Bella Luna" series right after the last Harry Potter book came out. A message board affiliated with Borders bookstores was discussing the merits of this series written by Stephenie Meyer and questioning whether it could be the next Harry Potter. Well it's not, but it's a darn good series.
The first two books in the series are Twilight and New Moon (see my reviews of both) which introduced Bella Swan - a normal teenager in the Seattle area who falls in love with a boy (Edward Cullen) who turns out to be a vampire. After a near vampire disaster in New Moon, Edward and...
read full review »I am not typically a science-fiction reader, but a neighbor recommended this book to me and I had to give it a shot. I started with Twilight and read all three in the series within a week. I literally couldn't put these books down, I was staying up all night just to read "one more chapter" and find out what was going to happen with Bella, Edward and Jacob.
The books are great, no matter who you are. I'm 31, a stay at home mom, and I thoroughly enjoy Stephenie Meyer's books - who cares if they are meant for teens? They're great for people of all ages.
I was a late starter with the Twilight book series, but I quickly became an instant fan. I flew through the first book, Twilight, falling in love with the story and the characters involved. I eagerly read the second book, New Moon, only to become disappointed with it's slow pace and lack of passion. So, it was with hesitation that I began the third book, Eclipse.
Eclipse far exceeds New Moon, because it was filled with action, passion, and an interesting love traingle develops. New Moon was more violent than any of the other books in the Twilight series, but the violence doesn't really...
read full review »I normally don't care for horror stories or anything depicting vampires or werewolves, but so many people recommended this series to me and vowed I would not regret it that I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! The characteristics of the vampires and werewolves in these stories is so atypical that you almost don't see them as the same creatures associated with these names. I found these characters very likable and the story very intriguing.
Bella is the only character with whom I don't feel a strong affiliation. I feel like shaking her sometimes! She is weak and indecisive and often...
read full review »This Book "The Eclipse" was really good til it got to the middle of the book it kinda got just a little boring or non attention getting but I did finish it and it was great at the end. Now I m on the 4th book and still waiting for the 2nd book to come out at the movies. This book is really long but it was enjoyable. You just have to read it. I can't give anything away. It is so worth it. All the characters in it are very good and it keeps you on your seat waiting for the next part to happen. A very hard book to put down.
I wish the Twilight series would continue forever. I read Eclipse in half a day, just couldn't put it down. This series is is awesome and has renewed my love of reading and vampires. I am waiting for my mom to finish reading the series so I can re-read it again. I think that each book gets better than the first and we learn more and more about the Cullen family with each one.
fell in love with these books in the first few pages of twilight . interesting werewolf-teenager-vampire love triangle theme. Eclipse tells more about each of the characters in the book (the how when why and wheres of each persons situation) Can't wait until August 2, 2008 for Breaking Dawn
I think the one thing that had me continuing to read this book and be sure that I didn't miss anything was the stupid love triangle. I felt like there was no competition, not really.
Edward...totally hot vampire that can provide Bella with immortality and he's her soul mate! or Jake...not as good looking (in my opinion) a werewolf that will live longer than her if he chooses to and he's not her soul mate because he can't seem to imprint on Bella even though he seems to be trying very hard to (which also meant that when he does imprint on someone he will leave Bella) No competition!!!
So then...

I literally didn't sleep for days--I read all four Twilight Saga Books: Twilight, Noon Moon, Ellipse and Breaking Dawn in one week! I was completely lost and captivated in Stephanie Meyer's world and the Bella Swan "Forks storyline." These books were so compelling that I ignored many emails and phone calls until I was able to finish the collection. The romantic and cultural tension interwoven within this book (Eclipse) was fantastically conveyed. Everyone woman wants to be Bella and desires a gentleman of Edward's caliber (who wouldn't want a man who is immortal, tender, wealthy, intelligent...
