East Coast Meerkat Society website Review

     The East Coast Meerkat Society was founded by fans of the Animal Planet show, Meerkat Manor.  It's a fun way for meerkat enthusiasts to meet (there is an online chat room) and to share ideas.

      Although the Society is not (as of yet, anyway) incorporated as a charity, it sponsored a recent project to upgrade the meerkat enclosure at the Staten Island Zoo (the money was raised by the Society members in a variety of ways, including an online auction)  They raised over $14,000 to make three lovely little meerkats' lives better and happier.

     The ECMS puts out a yearly meerkat calendar with all net proceeds going to meerkat charities.
