About  2 weeks ago I purchased Earth's Best Organic Shampoo and Body Wash. I was really excited about trying it. Although it was expensive, I didn't mind because of all the good things about this wash.

The wash has a lavender scent and can be used as body wash or shampoo. It's a tear free formula but they recommend not getting it in baby's eyes. It contains 70% organic ingredients and contains Beta-Glucan. The gentle formula is hypo-allergenic and has no parabens. Some of the ingredients include Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Panthenol, and oat oil.

I paid around $7 for the small 8.5 oz bottle. One of the best things with this wash, besides the ingredients, is the bottle. I love it. It's a slender bottle which is easy for me to hold and it has a flip-top cap. All you do is press a button on the cap and it flips open. This means I can open it with one hand and not mess up my nails or hurt my fingers!

The wash is a little thin but it's not watery. It lathers up okay but it's not the greatest. When I smell the wash in the bottle it smells good but after a bath you can't really notice the smell and it quickly disappears. My son's skin does feel smooth after but I didn't notice a huge difference.

I like a lot of things about Earth's Best Organic Shampoo & Body Wash. But because the smell doesn't last long, the price and one time my son rubbed his eye when he got some soapy water in it (maybe because of irritation?) I personally will not purchase this brand again. I'll try out other washes until I find one that's perfect for me and my son. I can't recommend this wash based on the possible irritation of eyes.

In response to mindyvol's comment from Oct 30, 2009 at 6:12AM:

It is a nice scent but I don't think any baby wash should cause eye irritations. That's just one more thing you have to worry about in the tub. Maybe it would be okay for older kids but definitely not younger ones.

Good review! I'll skip this the next time I buy shampoo. I love lavender so it would have been nice if this product was recommended.
