This light is much brighter than one may think of an L.E.D. bulb. I was surprised how far the technology has come along in a very short time. The light is more directional, rather than radiant, so it's not going to be very bright in the far corners of the room like it will be immediately under it, but still, the light emits from this thing and most of the time, you won't notice any difference at all between this and an incandescent or fluorescent bulb. The energy savings makes it well worth buying.
