With some Earth friendly products you really have to make a tradeoff between greenness and effectiveness. Unfortunately, this is one of those products. I try to buy Earth friendly products as much as possible but it's tough to find truly effective ones. This is certainly not effective. At all. This does have a pleasant scent and the price is comparable to other Earth friendly brands but it just does not perform well. I cook a lot so I always have dishes to wash. This could not even get a nonstick brownie pan clean. There were about five crumbs on the pan and I used this thinking it could at least work on five crumbs. Unfortunately my expectations were a bit too high. This did get the crumbs off but it left the pan with an oily residue that wasn't even there before I washed the pan! It completely failed as dishwashing liquid and I was forced to rewash the pan (thankfully the first item I had washed with this new detergent) with my usual dish soap. This is just a huge waste of money and I definitely recommend that you not give it a try.

I like Earth Friendly Products Ultra Dishmate Almond Scented Liquid Dishwashing Cleanser. Years ago I started noticing that regular dishsoap brands smell pretty strongly of chemicals and I started avoiding them for that reason. Not only do I see no need to ruin the environment while I wash my dished but I also spend a lot of time with this soap while soaking my hands in warm water. Did I really want a warm chemical bath soaking into my skin? No! The almond scent is nice. It is not overpowering, nor does it smell like flowers or chemicals, it is just right. They do have other scents which I have only tried the grapefruit once. Even though I think it was just a grapefruit smell, it kept reminding me of chemicals and I didn't care for it. I didn't try the lavender as I don't really care for flower smell with my dishes :) According to the label : This natural almond scented liquid dishwashing cleaner from Earth Friendly Products contains no phosphates, dyes, or perfumes. Made with natural ingredients, the color and body of the cleaner may vary a little. This cleaner is not tested on animals and contains no animal ingredients. Made in the USA, Dishmate is biodegradable and recyclable. What more could you ask for?

Ten years ago I decided to remove toxic cleaning products from my home, and one of the first brands I tried was Earth Friendly Products (ECOS). Their dish soap comes in a few scents, but the almond is really nice and pleasant to work with. This dish soap claims to be non-toxic and mild on the skin, even sensitive skin like mine. I do not wear rubber gloves when I wash my dishes and I have not had any issues with this detergent. I also find it moisturizing. The soap is concentrated, so the 25 ounce bottle will last for months. It works just as well as other dish soaps, it forms a lot of suds and those suds last. The ingredients are fairly simple: Water, coconut oil derived surfactants, salt, almond oil and cherry oil. It smells wonderful and it isn't much more expensive than other brands on the market that I don't view as "natural". Squirt on sponge "as is" and use. Dishmate™ is very concentrated, a little goes a long way in cleaning. For average cleaning, use 1 fluid ounces of Dishmate™ to every 3 gallons of water. You may increase or decrease this amount depending on the amount of grease.

I was a little worried that this product wouldn't suds up well or clean effectively, but it really does, and it smells SO GOOD! Seriously, almonds smell okay to me, but somehow this natural almond scent is heavenly. I smile with anticipation each time I wash a dish, and I've NEVER been able to say that.

Our household has really been trying to cut down on the chemical exposure that we get from everyday items.  We bought this earth friendly almond dishwashing detergent for that purpose.  We have had other earth friendly products that we really like so we bought this.  First off, the scent is great - we really like it.  It's actually a very relaxing scent.  It seems to be easy on the skin too.  It does not suds well, which most natural soaps do not because they do not contain the sodium lauryl sulfates and the surfectants that their chemical-laden counterparts do.  So, we didn't expect much sudsing.  That was ok.  The problem we had was that it doesn't really cut grease very well.  If we had a greasy pan or something that had had non-stick cooking spray on it, we'd have to use a bunch of extra soap, directly on the pan, which seems wasteful and expensive.  So, I guess our feeling is that it is a good product, but it just has the normal drawbacks of any natural-type soap - low sudsing and hard to clean greasy items.  If those aren't any big issues to you, I would recommend using it.  We feel good about products that contain less/no chemicals.

I received a bottle of Earth Friendly Products Dish Soap and I really like it. First off I love the scent I got, which is natural grapefruit! Smells really good, and works great on dishes! It is nice to find a natural dish soap that has a great smell and is friendly on the enviroment, and cleans! It is like a win win for sure. When I used it on dishes, it didn't leave a sticky or slick feeling on the dishes which is a major plus. It really worked on greasy pans also! I have been over happy about this dish soap, I would for sure recommend it to people who are into saving the enviroment, and having extra clean dishes!

I've been using Dishmate Liquid Dishwashing Soap for about a month now. I think this product cleans as well as any competitors that I've used in the past. I haven't had any issues with it. I don't like the almond scent, but my husband does. He thinks he would like washing the dishes more because he likes the scent. I would use this product in the future.

Thank you for letting me try Dishmate Liquid Dishwashing Cleaner. The almond scent is great. It does not leave a chemical smell on your hands when you are done washing. It cleans my dishes well. It doesnt really work well on greasy pans thought, the suds dont last. I am using it for washing dishes that are not so dirty. It is very thin so you are going to be using more. I liked the idea that it is not hard on my hands it leaft them feeling smooth. I would buy it on sale but not at full price.

Dishmate Liquid Dishwashing Soap has a pleasant smell. It doesn't work well and only gets the dishes clean with a lot elbow grease! I usually soak my pots and pans before cleaning them and I had to put a good bit of the Dishmate Soap in the water to cut the grime! Thanks Viewpoints for allowing me the opportunity to try this product before I bought it! I will probably stick with my Dawn!
