Silence is Golden (and Inexpensive)

5

Recent experiences with heating bills and energy costs this last winter lead to numerous questions of affordability in my household. Just like St. Nick what would appear but an ECO-Heater to the rescue right before Christmas last. Easy to install ( my teenage son did so with a small level and hand screwdriver in less than 15 minutes ) the 6' factory equipped electrical cord plugged in like a lamp. In fact that's the whole point of the article. People have to learn the primary purchase price for any heating appliance is nothing compared to the costs of running the device. Simply put, this is similar to turning on 4 light bulbs with regards to the amps (please read electrical cost) it draws or in plain English uses. Why? Because other than the on/off switch there are no parts to break. It works by convection (you know hot air rising and cooler air falling). Once a current is created (about 45 to 60 minutes for a normal sized room) the wonders of nature take over. This unit costs next to nothing to actually buy, own and operate. In fact, with smaller units or areas, it has to be turned off during the day because the area will become too warm for most of us. So, check it out. With no movable parts to break this silence is indeed golden and worth every penny that it saves in return.

Small, compact, and best of all it's paintable!

We bought this space heater hoping to save some money on heating bills. It is very energy efficient; the company's website says it uses as much electricity as four 100-watt light bulbs. The panel is square shaped and rises about an inch out of the wall. It's white, but, my favorite part is it's paintable! We painted it beige, the same color as our walls, and it blended right in. It is hot to the touch however. If you just have adults at home it's fine, but if you have a baby or small children, mounting the heater high up is a must. The on/off switch is a little hard to turn on or off...but it's not that big a problem. It's very easy to mount and gets it's electricity by being plugged in. The plug is a little annoying to store when you're not using the heater, but it can be put behind the panel. And if you mount the panel up high, the plug will be hanging out across the wall. Overall I would recommend this space heater, especially for apartment dwellers or anyone in need of space.
