I put Sims 2 Castaway on my Christmas list the second I saw it on the shelves at the store.  I didn't get it for Christmas but I got it for my birthday in January and I have since been wanting to play non-stop.  Fortunately I've learned to play only once a day, but I could play all night if it wasn't...

Sims format purchased for Nintendo Wii. Game fun but sometimes repetitive. Probably would be best as a rental.

Cannot save more than one game, so my kids cannot play until I am done.

Graphics are great.

Tutorial provides little direction. Fishing is somewhat difficult and controls are not that great.

While the Game is based on a whole new world the Sims basics are still here. you need to eat and you need to sleep shower and of-course use the restroom. the developers have put a wild loop around the game. As you explore the island you will realize that people have been replaced by monkeys and well they are just like babies. the Game over all if fun and there is always something new to do.

This game keeps you hooked right from the get-go. You can pretty much do anything you would do lost on an island. This is by far the best sims game yet.

Castaways are cool. They’re smart and incredibly resourceful, turning everyday objects into lifelong friends (“Wilson. Wilson!”). Miraculously, they are able to build rafts from materials found on the island, even without prior experience in construction. And when escaping is no longer an option, they’ll find interesting ways to stay occupied – like pushing a button to keep a deadly magnet field (which they are unaware of) from destroying...

Past efforts to make Sims games for console use have been awkward at best. Castaways is different. They got creative with the concept rather than just trying to copy what had already been so popular with the computer games. In this game, you are shipwrecked on a string of deserted islands. You start off knowing some skills, depending on chosen past career. From there you have to figure out the best ways to survive. This version of the Sims isn't about getting a bigger house or anything like that. It's about making survival tools and collecting food and basics like that. The controls on the PS2...

I have been playing Sims for the past 8-9 years.  Sims Castaway was a complete refresher to Sims2 with all new furniture, clothing, jobs, building products and play!  The stories are fantastic and I like that there are pre-existing Sims.  I do wish the Sims already made have already accumulated skills points or started a career.  However, it is pretty easy for the Sims to gain points and advance in their career!  You do have to constantly switch screens when playing in story mode, but it moves relatively quick!

I absolutely love Sims Castaway Stories for pc. I was a little frustrated at first by computer bugs caused by my adding of custom content, and the lack of cheats and mods, but the layout, graphics, and plot of the game are so beautiful and creative that it overrides the bugs and tugs at my heart strings. I have always wanted to live on a lost island with unique native communities that are simple in lifestyle, but complex in values and spiritual beliefs. This game is my fantasy come true! To bad it's not real, but I suppose it's close enough for now. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
