If you know anything about video games then you know Guitar Hero is awesome. OK, not just awesome but really F'N AWESOME, baby! Who doesn't want to play with a sexy game guitar controller and be a part of a virtual rock in your own living room, eh? All that is cool but Rock Band here by EA Games takes the idea even further. I really love this game - the opportunity to sing and play drums as well as guitar is outstanding!  The ability to create your own characters and build them solo careers as well as have them play in the band is great.  I wish there were more songs of course.  The choices to buy right now are rather limited.  From a singer's perspective some of the song choices are just bad.  I do not enjoy singing a lot of the songs.  I am singing on expert so it is not like I can't hold a tune,but some of the songs just are not good to sing.  Still overall - can't get… read full review »

Love this game with all my dorky little heart and soul! — I love having the option to play with a lot of friends all at once or by myself. For the most part the song list is great and growing every week (new downloads every thursday!), though sadly lacking in songs with female vocalists. This is not to say that anyone can't sing any song, as you can go up or down the octave as long as you're still on pitch, but that switch can be awkward in some songs. — Drums are a blast, but uncoordinated people like me beware! I absolutely love rockband. At first, I debated on buying it because of the price, but it was really worth it. Me and all of the kids can all play together. I was amazed to find out that even my 6 year old can get the hang of everything. I didn't thing he would be able to figure out the guitar or the drums, but he loves it. what more can i say but "ROCK ON!" This game is great for the young and old. Not only can you make an a$$ out of yourself, but you can do it with style. The game is very nice and has some great features, but the biggest part i want to talk about is the DLC (download content) this is one of the first games to come out with DLC and keep it coming every week. Rock band is a rock band in a box! If you take into account that you are obviously not going to get true rock-band quality sound from the drumset, microphone, etc. included, then you can have a lot of fun with this game/simulator. I think it's just as much of a simulator as it is a game as the developers intended for someone with no musical ability to be able to go to a real drumset and play it well just from practicing using this set. Probably one of the best games out there. beats rock band easily! If your looking for a game that could make you have fun and yet give you a hard time rock band is what you are looking for.
