I always thought that e.l.f products were expensive, designer cosmetics. When I found out that are super cheap, I bought several different things to try out and one of them is the Earth & Water Mascara Duo.
The mascara duo features two different sides of mascara, one regular and the other waterproof. I was thinking that this was going to be a great product and looked forward to using it...and then I tried it.
Let's see if I can count the reasons why I gave this mascara only 1 solitary star. First, when you are applying the mascara to your lashes, it does not, define, separate or lengthen your lashes. What it does do, is glob your eye lashes together with black tar. Towards the end of the day, some of the black tar flakes off to your under eye area. The waterproof half of the mascara duo is horrible too. It goes on your lashes the same if not worse than the regular half and when you get out of the shower, you have brittle, black eye lashes that won't wash off. I had to use a Biore Cleansing Cloth to pull the waterproof black tar off of my eye lashes. I probably lost about 10 eye lashes in the process!
The Scoop!
I would much rather spend the $6.00 that a decent mascara costs instead of saving a couple bucks on this horrible product. By the way, the e.l.f. concealer I bought wasn't anything special either. I am giving up on e.l.f.!
