For $1, e.l.f. Brightening Eye Shadow offers four complementary shades that are designed to be worn together but can also be worn individually for a less intense look.
The eyeshadow quad is very small; you get a tiny amount of each shadow, but for $1, how can I complain? The colors themselves are very nice and glide on smoothly, but toss the applicator it comes with, it's pretty worthless.
The shadows also have a hint of shimmer to them which is actually quite nice and is subtle enough for daytime wear. The shadow seems fairly crease resistant, but they do not have the staying power of more expensive eyeshadows. To help fix this problem, apply an eyeshadow primer beforehand - you'll get a few extra hours of wear this way.
e.l.f. also offers a HUGE selection of colors to choose from, which is a definite plus if you are into trying new makeup looks.
For $1, I don't have many negative things to say about e.l.f. Brightening Eye Shadow. You get quite a bit of bang for your buck and, despite the small size, these shadows are very richly pigmented and work well as a budget eye shadow quad.
