Dyson Vacuum - Upright All Floors Bagless Cyclonic Vacuum Review Summary

Most reviewers report that the Dyson DC07 All Floors Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum is a great vacuum. It cleans carpets well, has strong suction and makes cleaning easier. Most reviewers are in love with the Dyson. Garners898 says, "Any vacuum that will suck the cheerios, I mean all of them, even the ones he has smashed into dust, off of my toddler's high chair is #1 in my book!" However, a small percentage, report that the Dyson DCO7 is not great with animal hair and objects such as pine needles-- so you should consider an alternative if those are your specific needs. Alexiso says, "The sticker shock is something to consider but it's definitely worth it." Before you make the investment in Dyson, read the latest reviews and get the straight scoop on home appliances from real consumers like you.

I recently purchased the Dyson DC07 All Floors Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum from BestVacuum.com for $334.99 and I am thrilled with my purchase. My Hoover vacuum literally died a few weeks ago and with two young children and multiple pets, I had to get a new vacuum quick! I can't even count the number...

I had such high hopes for the Dyson, it worked really really well for about a year and a half and now there are lots of little mechanical things going wrong with it. For the money I don't recommend it. You would be better off buying a brand new $75.00 vaccum every year.

I previously owned a Dyson look-a-like and it worked well on regular carpet...but it was horrible with barber carpet (which we have wall-to-wall in most of the house) and it didn't work at all on my kitchen floor.  Well when it finally took a dive just after Christmas (the pine needles did it in) my husband convinced me to spend the extra money and finally get a Dyson.  It was one of the best investment I have ever made.  When will I learn to listen to that man?

The Dyson is very powerful.  It makes the regular carpet in my bedroom look like new every time I vacuum.  It works wonderfully on...

The Dyson DC07 All Floors vacuum is quite honestly the best vacuum I have ever used.  I love that it is bagless and that all I have to do is pull a lever to make the bottom drop out to release the contents of the canister.  I used to have problems with dirt and dust flying right back into the air and settling back into the carpet, but this vacuum successfuly filters and prevents that stuff from escaping.  I can actually breathe while vacuuming now!

The suction power is amazing.  We had two indoor cats when we bought this, and the amount of cat hair it pulls out of the carpet is incredible. ...

Seriously, I hated to vacuum. From unwinding the cord to pushing the loud thing around, i would rather pick up the obvious bits of dirt with my hands than drag the vacuum out. But when we got a Dyson, that changed. First off, how cool is it that you can *see* the dirt  swirling around in the glass tube? Second, there are no bags to change, and the aforementioned glass tube is extremely easy to empty - so there's no excuse for not vacuuming because the bag is full. The Dyson is light and easy to push around - and it is super easy to switch from the regular vacuum mode to the attachment mode, which... review »

I purchased the Dyson DC07 two (2) years or so back for my wife and by far it was the best present I ever gave her. She is not the neat freak like myself but she loved that vacumn so much she vacumned at least six (6) times a day. She learned after she had our toddler who will be three (3) soon; that vacumning was great for the abs and after declaring the Dyson DC07 to be God's greatest gift in vacumns; to open the door to a silent house would startle me for fear something was wrong, because she never stopped vacumning. It seemed as if she would find new and innovative ways to use "her"... review »

This vacuum works ok, but it does lose suction.  I vacuum about twice a week, on both carpet and tile floors.  I have to use the hose with the brush attachment for it to work on the tile floors, otherwise it just blows stuff around.  About once every 2 weeks I have to take the filter completely out and vacuum it clean with a shop vac in order for the suction to be ok.  It's got great attachments that are easy to use, it's easy to emply and it has a nice long cord.  Also, we had to order a replacement hose after we got a tear in the original one.  It was very easy to order, was a Dyson product,... review »

I bought the rebuilt model at Big Lots & couldn't be happier.  As the caretaker of 5 dogs, 4 cats, plus foster dogs, I need a tough, bagless vacuum - the cost of buying bags with this many animals would be a killer.  The Dyson has held up beautifully.  It did actually clog once, but that was my fault for being too lazy to pick up a big piece of dog toy instead of trying to vacuum it up - but the clog was easy to correct & absolutely no problems since then.

It is not too heavy to push, the attachments are convenient & useful, and overall this is a great piece of equipment.  Even if you put...

Any vacuum that will suck the cheerios, I mean all of them, even the ones he has smashed into dust, off of my toddler's high chair is #1 in my book!  Not to mention suck up everything in site off of any surface.  I do not understand why people say the Dyson does not suck up pine needles???  It sucked up every one of mine.  I do not find that it is easily clogged either.  Ours has only become clogged one time and because the thing comes apart at every conceivable place it was easy to fix.

This is a must have vacuum for parents and pet owners.  Totally worth the price.  We have used and abused...

I asked for this Dyson for a wedding present and was so excited to actually receive it.  I tested out every vacuum in the stores and this seemed to be constructed of the most sturdy materials (others were made of very cheap plastic).  Long story short, although it is sturdy and constructed well, there are many design flaws that make it not worth the cost.

First, if you live with any females or animals, you know hair (strings, etc.) gets caught underneath the belts and occasionally needs to be cleaned.  Good luck with this model!!  The belt is wound so tightly that it's impossible to get it...

I've owned my Dyson for over 4 years.  I was a little weary about spending $400.00 on a vacuum cleaner, but after reading all the reviews I decided to give it a try...after all, I have 90 days to return it. It's very simple to put together...everything "snaps" perfectly into place. The attachments don't fall off the vacuum like they did on my Hoover and the cord length of the Dyson is GREAT! The hose reaches the entire length of my steps without the vacuum falling over. It is a LITTLE quieter than other vacuums...but not as quiet as I expected. My previous vacuum was a Hoover bagless which I bought... review »

I've had my Dyson only 6 hours now and I couldn't wait to review it.

The Pros:
-Really gets down in the carpet. It gets tons of dirt that I didn't even know was there.
-Makes my carpet feel softer
-It's Quiet
-It's very smooth when running. Not hard to push and basically glides.
-No bags or filters! It's incredibly easy to empty.
-The Dyson people give a 5 year warranty. No extra costs.
-Great for pet owners. I have 2 cats and didn't realize how much hair was hiding in the carpet until Dyson came along. Heck, I didn't even realize how much of MY hair was hiding in the carpet either!

The Cons:
-It's...

I have a thousand dollar plus THERMAX --  and hate it.  Hastle putting it together, adding the water, dragging it around,  water slops over, etc etc.  BUT I have all this money invested so I kept on putting up with it.  THEN ...  along came my son with his DYSON.  He has 3 dogs, got the "Pet Model" and kept bragging about how easy it was, and how awesome it worked, etc. etc. DYSON -  DYSON - DYSON ---  all he could rave about.  But what about my Thermax?  Mom - what about it.  All you do is complain and I know you will love the DYSON.  Finally last summer Tuesday Morning had clearance...

I've been through my share of vacuum cleaners, and this is, by far, the best I've ever used.  The commercials are right -- it really doesn't lose suction.  Well, one time it did, but it had five crayons stuck in the hose, so I can forgive it for that.  But, listen, it actually sucked up all of those crayons!  It automatically adjusts for height, so I can go from my carpeted living room to the tiled foyer back to carpeted hallway without stopping, and it does just fine.  There is an adjustment so you can turn off the beater brush for bare floors if you want to.

The power cord is very long, so...
