Dyson Vacuum - DC18 - Slim All Floor Reviews

I am a mom of 2 who works full time so I don't have alot of time to get things done. At home I have 2 dogs and 2 cats so I am constantlycleaning up after pets. The Dyson Slim is wonderful its light, fits into small spaces for easy storage and has great suction. I was amazed at even the tiniest dust particles it picked up. I even used My old Kirby which i thought was good and the Dyson was still pulling up dirt and dust out of my carpet. Its bagless so I do not have to buy bags which is a big plus. As I tell family & friends,  I got a great new skinny addition.  And it really sucks!!!!!  So many ran over to see my latest toy & see who wins the previous one. since I do give them to whomever I feel really needs it.  Sp letter carrier got the DC14  All could not believe how light this was.  Easy to carry up 14 stairs & not pant away.

Come through my door & watch me bowl with my vacuum.  It has a bowling ball shape that allows you to turn and go another direction while laying on the floor.  So it fits under tables or chairs.  I find the canister can clean an entire 2000 sq ft home. ...

She's a pricey little piece of machinery, but she's worth every penny. We have two dogs and a mix of hardwood floors and carpeting and I have to say this vacuum stands up to each surface without any problems. Not even the dog hair and dirt dragged in stands a chance.

I've compared it against other vacuums that I've had in the past, and there really just isn't a comparison. The only real downfall, other than that hefty price tag, is that it's a slightly cumbersome on stairs. The hose and stair attachment are a little bit awkward to wield. I've tried starting at the top and starting at the bottom...

The Dyson DC 18 vacuum is the best vacuum I have ever witnessed. This machine was used after a Hoover was used on a floor several times. I had a sheltie collie and as I said used a hoover vacuum several times after I had given the Collie away.. Well the Dyson picked up collie hair in abundance. This machine is amazing. It is so quiet and picks up hair that was left after multiple vacuuming with the old Hoover. What a surprise to see all the hair the Hoover never picked up. This Dyson is a great great vacuum. I still do not believe what a splendid job this quiet machine does.

i hate to vacuum. i hate to clean at all! but this vacuum makes it so easy and so fast, i dont hate it so much!!!

i am impressed with its power and how easy it is to use. it is much lighter than i expected and it moves easily across rugs and my hardwood floors. it cleans well close to the wall and i love, love, love that!!!

I wanted to buy a Dyson, but they are so big and clunky and heavy that I just knew I couldn't maneuver one. I have been using an 8 lb Oreck which is very easy to push around, but I was beginning to have my doubts as to how much dirt it was picking up.

After several years of using the original Dyson in the UK, I was thrilled to be able to finally get my new Dyson in the US, as I now live in Florida. I have mostly Hardwood and Tile floor, with carpet in the bedrooms and lounge. I initially bought the Dyson Stowaway, but found it very heavy and cumbersome.After using DC18 for the first time today, you would think I had never cleaned before. I bought this for my apartment because I started having allergies. I was impressed by the amount of dirt it picked up. I decided to test it and took it to my mom's house where she has a cat that is always shedding. We used her regular vacuum first and did a 2 ft x 2 ft sqare of carpeting. We actually did it twice to make sure it's really clean. Then, we used the Dyson (with an empty canister) and went over the same patch of carpet. You wouldn't believe how much dust, lint and what I assume is dander came out of the little patch that we did.
