Dyson Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum Review

I had heard so much about Dyson vaccuums and how they were supposed to be one of the best brands on the market (not to mention one of the most expensive) so when my significant other told me that he had gotten his back from his ex-wife, I was as excited as he was. I wanted to see this powerful machine that was going to make my life easier and make my home so much cleaner, in action. Having 2 cats, one long-haired and one short haired, and 2 dogs, both with long hair, I welcomed the Dyson into the family with open arms, sure that it was going to be my savior in the war on pet hair and that I would never have to worry about going to the office with pet hair clinging to my skirt again. I was so disappointed to find that the Dyson performed pretty much like my Bissell and in some ways not even as well. I found the retractable handle clumsy and difficult to manuever, and the controls that change it from standing upright to moving across the floor were almost impossible to find. The Dyson does offer a very large dirt cup and does pick up pet hair but given the choice I'll stick with my Bissell and I'm glad that his ex-wife was the one to foot the bill for the Dyson because there is no way that I would spend that kind of money for a vaccuum!
