I received this vacuum as a Christmas present around 6 years and have never had any problems with it.  I love it.  It picks up everything  It never looses suction.  The dust cup is very easy to empty.  It's very easy to take apart to clean if needed.  I would recommend this vacume to anyone, whether you are a pet owner or not.  I never see any dust particles floating in the air like you do when you use other vacuums.  I have occasionally had to take some pieces off to clean, such as the guard around the brush to get the hair from around the roller, but it's a snap.  It has a long extendable...

Although this vacuum may be expensive, it is well worth the money. The first day I had the vacuum, I vacuumed my entire house, from ceilings to the floor.
