Dyson DC15 Animal Vacuum Review Summary

The Dyson DC15 Animal Vacuum is "on the ball for easier, cleaner housekeeping." Even pet owners that have a lot of cats in a tiny house thought it would be a "recipe for disaster," but find this Dyson vacuum just "zips around the furniture without my having to lug it out of the way" thanks to the ball feature that makes vacuuming around objects "as easy as a flick of the wrist." A special unique feature is the "port near the intake of the filter that you can open" to remove any item you picked up but wish you hadn't. Looking at how much dirt this animal vacuum picks up has reviewers realizing they "lived with dirty before my Dyson." All admit the price on the Dyson vacuums can be hefty, but they feel it's worth it when they work as well as this one.

The Dyson DC15 "Animal" is an amazing machine.  My previous vacuum is a Kirby, no slouch and actually more expensive than the Dyson.  The Dyson is picking up pet hair the Kirby had been leaving behind.  The cyclonic action is wonderful, seeing the dirt accumulate in the clear easy to empty canister...

Let me start by saying I am the proud owner of a German Shepard, a Begal - Basset Hound, three cats and a ferret. There is a lot of hair in my house, and no matter what I use there will be more hair the next day. However the Dyson DC15 "Animal" vacuum cleaner will pick up the hair off hard wood floors,...

The dyson animal is the best if you have pets.  It manages to pick up every pet hair without spending hours of vaccuuming and has special attachments to even get cat or dog hair off of furniture (it is like a mini vaccuum).  I also love that it is bagless.  I've owned so many vacuums over the years that I could never remember which bag I really needed...now I can just dump it in the trash and be done with it.  Very easy to work with.  It is simple to unassemble to get to the filters and you don't have to buy replacements just rinse and let air dry and then reassemble.  I found the support...

The Dyson DC15 animal is an amazing vacuum! I purchased my first one about 1 year ago for my rental properties that I allow pets into. I had trouble with other vacuums that just could not hold up. I was a little concernced about the cost at first but thought I needed to try something different. I was shocked when I first used this vacuum! It must have picked up every thing the old vacuum had missed for a year! I used this vacuum for about 6 months between 2 rental properties. I have since bought two more rental properties and I have bough a Dyson vacuum for each unit which helps me out alot....

I have 5 cats and currently live in a tiny house. This was truly a recipe for disaster. Last year after debating with myself long and hard I went all out and bought the Dyson Animal Ball Vacuum.  It was the best decision I ever made.

I am not a floor cleaner.  I have rugs in my bathroom and kitchen so that I can throw them in the washing machine instead of mopping.  I truly would rather replace a floor than clean it. In part, I think this phobia was caused because of the every ten minute clogging of every other vacuum cleaner I have ever owned due to assorted pet hair.  The Dyson vacuum is...

When I bought my house I had wall to wall carpeting installed.  Between the new carpet and my rottweiler, my old vacuum cleaner died.  I went out and bought the Dyson DC 15 Animal and instantly fell in love.  This vacuum is great.  It picks up  every thing that is on the floor.  Nothing deters the Dyson.  I will admit that the Dyson is very expensive, ($525.00), but it is worth the money.  You will not need a new vacuum cleaner for a long, long time.  One of my favorite features is the bare floor button.  My dog stays in the kitchen when we are not home and he sheds all over the pergo...

I have own my vacuum for  about 7 years now and it is still holding up,every 2 months I have to blow out the container where the dirt go's to keep it's suction up and clean all the filters. It is still one of the best and out lasting any vacuum that I have ever owned. I am a owner of 4 dogs, 3 cats and 2 bunnies, 2 kids. One bad part is it is made of plastic.

I own 2 collies and wanted this sweeper.  We couldn't believe the amount of hair that was pulled from the carpet after we had already swept with our old sweeper.  It was amazing.  My carpets always look fresh and clean after using the Dyson.

I absolutely love this vacuum!  My friend, who has owned her own cleaning business for years, uses Dyson vacuums.  I used hers to vacuum my house after I had just vacuumed it with another brand vacuum that I had and I was shocked at how much dirt had been left behind that her Dyson picked up.  Having 2 dogs that are sometimes inside, I needed a good vacuum to get up the dog hair when they start shedding their winter coats.  This certainly does the job.  The ball really makes vacuuming around objects as easy as a flick of the wrist.  I do find it to be a little on the heavy side when carrying... review »

When it came time to replace our vaccum cleaner we looked at several models.  We winced when we saw the price but it has been worth every penny.  We have developed a weird fascination of seeing how much dirt ends up in the clear canister.  It is amazing how much it sucks up!  Definitely worth the price.

I was heistant about buying this at first because of the price. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I am amazed at how well it moves around everything. I hurt my back in an injury two years ago and vaccumming has hurt ever since. When I bought the dyson, I did my entire house without any pain. I also have two small children who dirt attracts to like a magnet. The Dyson has helped clean up and keep everything clean.

I have had the DC17 Animal for about a year. I have 4 floors, 3 carpeted (stairs too) and the main floor hardwood with area rugs. I have always had at least 6 large dogs sharing their home with me. I have gone through NUMEROUS regular vacuums, most costing about 250 - 350 dollars each, lasting about 4-5 years and not performing that well. I plunged into the vacuum debate; Dyson vs. Oreck. Both spendy compared to the mass of vacuums (done with them) so I took time and researched. I had to evaluate WHO the reviews were being written by. (ie; one sales rep. vs. another.) Not saying that they would...

My Dyson DC 15 Animal is the best. I have 6 dogs that range from very wirey hair to thick Rottweiller fur. These dogs shed all year around. My Dyson picks up every little piece of fur and hairs. The furballs like to gather in the corners and with the long hose and attachments, it's no problem picking them up. I have had other models/brands that clog up immediately upon suction. Not the Dyson. It's great. The attachments are varied. One will work wonderfully on the dog beds. Another will work on the window blinds. It's incredible how simple vacuuming can be. I dreaded the purchase because at the...

Overall this vacuum is worth every penny spent. I have had it for 3 years now and it works just as good as the day I bought it! I love the ease of use, the neatness of not having a bag, and the fact that I can see all the pet hair and what else it sucks up as I go. It gives me a good judgement of how much "dirt" there really is on my beige carpeting that the eye cannot see : )

One of my top 10 items in my household. Cannot clean without it!

The Dyson DC15 Animal Ball is an outstanding vacuum.  I am allergic to cats.  So with 2 cats in the house I am constantly vacuuming up after them.  The first time I used this this Dyson I was shocked at the amount of cat hair it pulled out of a clean (just previously vacuumed) rug. The tools are the right size for my needs, very durable, and they stay clipped into their holding place very well.

I will never buy another vacuum without the "ball" technology.  While it took a few days to get used to the new steering, it is very convenient.   I can get into a lot of tight places around...
