I got this vacuum 2 years ago and it works just as good as it did day one! I have 2 cats and a ever sheding Lab. I have not bought a single part for this machine. No belt, no filters, nothing. I had a problem with the vacuum once. It wasn't picking up as well as usual. I simply called the 800 number, talked with an actual person from America and they resolved my problem in less than 5 min. One of the seals had come loose. I fixed it with my hand and has been working excellent ever since.

Thanks Dyson. I can now wear black pants in my house again without getting pet hair all over.

The trail of mediocre vacuums seeking a dump truck has been rather long for my family. We try to involve the entire family in our "fairly clean house" policy. This has policy has lent itself to numerous complaints if the vacuum cleaner is not up to snuff. This dyson almost makes cleaning a joy in our household. My husband purchased a Dyson DC17 for me and I hate it!  It has pretty good suction on the carpeting, but emtying the nasty, dusty container always causes me to start coughing.  The DC17 is for people with asthma and allergies.....not so much!  If you have someone else empty the container then I guess you're not going to be exposed to all the dust.

We have 2 cats and a dog as well as two people in the house with allergies. I was constantly looking for a vacuum that would remove the pet hair and dander as well as the normal dust and dirt. We first bought our Dyson Animal about 4 years ago when we first installed Carpet in the upstairs of our home. I have 4 cats and I have never had a vacum cleaner to pick up as good as my dyson. The only downside is it is a heavy vacum cleaner. This si one vacum cleaner that never looses it suction unless you get something caught on it like a throw rug.

I have even put my Dyson up agains my mother's Oreck and it picks up better than an Oreck. The salesman at Best Buy was very good at demostrating how well the vacum works and how to use each tool to go with it.

The Dyson upright DC 14 vacuum really is an amazing product.  I have lived in a house with all hardwood floors, and with all carpets, and this vacuum can tackle each with great performance.  I love how you don't have to worry about attachments, and you can just pull the extention out of the handle to clean up in corners, or up high.

 It might sound like a lot of money to purchase one, but I think it is well worth it.  Just clean it regularly and you will not loose suction!

I bought the Dyson Vacuum about 4 years ago.  It is the best vacuum I have ever owned.  It picks up everything and is easy to use.  I had a couple of problems, called the customer service number and was walked through a fix easily.  The problem was the user not the machine.  I now want the Dyson Ball.
