I absolutely LOVE My DYSON DC 14 ANIMAL UPRIGHT VACUUM. I've had many other vacuums in my life as an adult and none compare to this vacuum. I love the color ..my favorite Purple but that's just the least of it. I love the Lifetime Hepa Filter, the ease of use and all of the attachments that come with this beauty. It's true quality but quality is never cheap and neither is this vacuum, but it will last and never has clogged up on me! I paid just over $450 for mine and I've seen them reconditioned online for as low as $299 but even that is a bargain when you consider the average bagless cyclonic vacuum going for around $200 and up and the fact that I've had 5 or more over the past 10 yrs having this one last 3 years and counting w/out a single problem is value in and of itself. It's self propelled making it easy to maneuver. it's hygenic 5/7 dust bin is easy to empty w/out ever having to touch the dust. All you do is pull the trigger! It came w/ all sorts of attachments too including a carpet...

I have five kids, a large long haired dog, and a housefull of cats. For almost two decades I was spending about $100 a year on a discount-retailer vacuum. Finially about 18 months ago I invested in a Dyson. I bought it at a steep discount at a "scratch and dent" sale at a vacuum shop. Even though it was brand new, the shipping carton had busted open during transit and scuffed up the side so the lady who ordered it didn't want it. At not quite $300 it ended up being a bargain. I brought it home. Vacuumed with my old vacuum, then immediately vacuumed with my Dyson. I filled the dust cup. I couldn't believe my old vacuum missed that much. I emptied the dust cup. Vacuumed again. Even more went into the dust cup. How could a person who vacuums daily have that much crud in their carpet imediately after vacuuming with their old vacuum. I took the old vacuum straight to the dump. Wouldn't even pass it along to someone else - and it was a brand name! I have a 12 room house - 5 rooms......

I've owned a lot of vacuums in my lifetime, but I've NEVER used anything as powerful as my Dyson. I was a Hoover vacuum owner for many years until I discovered Dyson. It is so powerful and it doesn't lose suction. You won't believe the amount of dirt, dust and dog hair that comes out of your carpet when you think it's clean but then you vacuum it. Between my dog and 2 kids, there is ALWAYS something on my carpet. I need a super strong vacuum to clean up the messes. I love the attachments too. It get the pet hair off my furniture. The only bad part is emptying it if you have allergies because it's bagless.

This vacuum works unbeleivably. It turns on a dime and I have never seen anything like it. It so effortlessly is pushed and turned. The ball makes it so simple to manuever. It worksgreat picking up the nasty dog hair that gets embedded into the rug. The price may seem way to hjigh to purchase this beauty. But I beleive that you will not regret it beucase it is like no other vacuum you have ever handled. Have fun with it, you will want to roll it around and do tricks with it beucase it is so simple and fun!

I live in a home with 4 cats. That's right. Four cats. We used to own a Hoover vacuum cleaner, and it was a disaster, especially when it came to emptying the canister. I always felt like we were putting dust and pet dander right back into the air, and it really bothered me.

Then, three years ago, I was about to have my first child and I went on a cleaning rampage. We had the ducts blown out and got an air purifier, and I finally decided to get a Dyson DC-14 Animal for the carpets. What followed could only be described as "Vacuum Fest 2006." I could not stop vacuuming. Carpets! Hard floors! Stairs! I must have emptied the canister four times that first night, and each time I emptied it, it just went POP! right into the garbage can. It was a beautiful thing. Stairs were suddenly no problem with the 17 foot telescoping wand. I was 9 months pregnant and in vacuuming heaven.

It is three years later and although I do not have Vacuum Fests in the same way as I did three years ago, my Dyson...

This will be the last vacuum I ever buy. The Dyson DC14 Animal picks up all of my 4 cats shedded fur. It is so light I can use it from my wheelchair. It cleans so well that I insist that my cleaning company use my Dyson when they come, over their inferior machine.

Unlike many vacuums, all Dyson machines can clean bare floors as well. All vacuums say they will, the Dyson actually does. All I have to do is run my vacuum over my bare floors before I mop, no sweeping for me.

Like I said, "The Dyson DC14 Animal is my lifetime vacuum!"

We bought this vacuum after our old one wasnt picking up all of the dog hair on the floor. I had heard so many good reviews about Dysons...so once I saw this one on sale I had to grab it up.

I am pleased with its performance. It has descent suction, a long reaching wand and hose, good attachments, lightweight, not too expensive when you keep an eye out for a deal and easy to empty. I do wish the chamber was a bit larger though...I have to empty mine about 4-5 times per use.

The suction could be a bit better. I do have to go over each area about 2 times to be sure everything is picked up...but it is a good, lasting vacuum.

I love my Dyson Animal because I had three dogs that lived in our home and dog hair galore! I used my Dyson once and you should have seen what it picked up. This vacuum will make your carpet look brand new again by picking up fiber and making your carpet stand again....

I purchased the Dyson Animal from a friend who was moving and it works wonders. I have two cats and it's very effective at cleaning up all the cat fur they leave behind. I lived in two separate apartments before purchasing my own home and in both cases, the landlords gave back our full security and pet deposits after they saw how well the vacuum worked. I highly recommend it to anyone with pets.

I love this machine. My first test with it was at my mother's house. She owned an Orek and swore by it. I used her vacuum first and then said now watch mine. After vacuuming the same area with the Dyson I picked up half a canister full of things the Orek missed. This was a regular large area rug. I finished vacuuming her house and emptied another two full canisters. I bought it because I loved the idea of not loosing suction while vacuuming. That problem plagued older models. I really liked the idea of the hepa-filter (which is very easy to clean). I also own a dog and a cat so this was the right machine to take on the job of cleaning up their fur. The cord is really long so you don't have to plug and unplug as much. The hose is really long too. A function that scared me the first time it happened is really nice as well; if you suck up something in the brush head and it is stuck the machine makes a really awful noise but it is preventing the item from continuing to get sucked in....

I have 3 cats, 2 dogs and a family of three. Needless to say my carpet, floors and furniture get furry and dirty. The animal is heaven sent. I can clean better anf faster then my previous vacuums. Before I use to keep going over and over a spot to get up animal hair. No it's one time!!! I won't buy another vacuum. Not having to fuss with a bag is awesome too. Yes the Dysons are more money but will save you time and money in the future. Good warrenty.

I have owned my Dyson for about 2 years now. I have 3 dogs which 2 are labs, and boy do they shed. When I read about the Dyson 14 animal, my first thought was, finally, something to help me with all this dog hair. It does a fantastic job.

The Dyson Vacuum (Animal DC14) is quite expensive for a vacuum...as are all the Dyson products. I have to say I get quite a bit of satisfaction seeing the massive amounts of dog hair that swirls through the vacuum as I'm using it. Even when there hasn't been a lot of days since I last vacuumed. It has a lot of suction and seems to pick up a lot of dog hair. Although, I have never used a bag-less system before, so I'm not sure if it's better or not. Also, if you have some dirt spilled on the floor or dust, it picks that up very well. Leaves a clean line over where you have been and where you still need to vacuum. That is also satisfying. The one thing I have been continuously surprised about though is that it doesn't seem to pick up much that is bigger than a piece of dirt. Say you have a very small sticker (that is not sticky anymore) laying on the floor...or a piece of paper. I will frequently have to go over such objects multiple times before it has been sucked up. ...

Purchasing the Dyson DC 14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum was one of the best purchases I have ever made. My sister has one and she's the one that told me about it and I'm so glad she did. Although it is more expensive than a lot of vacuums out there, it works so well and picks up even the embedded dog hair from my two dogs. It has a handy retractable wand that lets me use it up high to get those nasty spider webs, vacuum curtains, and handy attachments to do those other types of jobs like vacuuming upholstered furniture. This is a solid vacuum that won't wear out any time soon. Even my husband, who used to swear by canister vacuums has been convinced that this is the best vacuum he's ever used. I'm quite spoiled because he does a lot of cleaning for me and almost always is the one doing the vacuuming. I know that Dyson has created a newer model that has a "ball" for better manuevering, I won't need to purchase a new vacuum any time soon. The only downside is that...

The Dyson Animal is definitely worth the price. It is amazing what it picks up. I used my upright Eureka vacuum and then vacuumed the same area with the Dyson Animal and it picked up a lot of remaining dust and dirt.

I have a White German Shepherd that sheds constantly and this is the only vacuum that could pick up all the hair. It is actually fun to empty the container after vacuuming and view everything picked up.

The container is very easy to empty and requires no vacuum cleaner bags. The attachments conveniently hook up to the vacuum and do not get in the way. The hose and the cord are extremely long so they reach very far.

I will never buy another brand of vacuum cleaner other than a Dyson. I could not live without it.
