The Dyson DC07 is the very best. Over the years I have tried several vacuums Hoover vacuums DO NOT last more than 1 year and half.  I have 3 dogs husky, St. Berniard & Lab. plus I have 3 cats that have medium hair length.  I have allergies what a blessing this vacuum is. All of my pets shed alot. I love that I don't have to get bags anymore!  After vacuuming just one room it fills the canister up ( that is how bad they shed) I have a 9 room house so it gets lots of work and I vacuum at least twice a week. I have had my dyson for 2 years now and it cleans as well as when I first bought it.  To show you how well it works  a pen got sucked up into the vacuum got stuck  and even with it stuck there; it was so powerful that it kept picking up the dog hair in spite of it. My husband takes the dyson to give a complete cleaning every several months and he found the pen and even he was impressed.  It is expensive but is well worth the money greatinvestment. If you have problems with cat hair on your furniture this is the perfect vacuum it has a small power nozzle that gets the cat hair of anything.  One of the best features is when ou empty the canister you press a buttom the bottom drops open and everything goes into the trash. It is every easy to use and you will Love it!!!
