I have had my Dyson for 3 years now and just loved the way it picks up dirt and animal hair. Until I used it to vacuum up drywall dust during a room remodel. Took me forever to remove the dust from every nook and cranny of the filter. Used an air compressor and blew out as much as I could. Now it seems to have lost it's SUCK. I think I am going to have to take it to a repair shop to see if it can be taken apart further than I know how to clean it out so it gets it's SUCK back.

Without taking it apart farther than it is designed I can't see where the filter is. I am afraid if I start taking out screws I won't be able to get it back together.

The gypsum in the the drywall is what is causing your problem. It is very fine and even though you used an air hose it is probably caked in the filter itself. If it is a washable filter you may try that by squirting water from the backside of the filter.
