I received this as a gift (i asked for it) 6 years ago and it's still working exactly the same as the day I received it. I have 2, white haired, Jack Russell's and they shed non stop . I vacuum daily, hardwood, runner mats and tile. This vacuum picks up everything! the attachments and hose are simple to access and use and put away. I use the flat attachment most to vacuum my couches and the dog hair comes right up. Also the dog toy stuffing never seems to be an issue for it. I have long hair so I do find that periodically I have to turn the vacuum over to get to the head/brush and cut away any hair, string etc that has tangled around it, once clean it works like new again. Maneuverability A little wide on the bottom to get into corners our around furniture. Ease of Maintenance Only the colored parts are removable which makes taking it apart to clean, maintain etc really easy. And putting it back together is just as easy. The filter is removable & washable! Suction Performance Nothing gets in its way. If there is a lot of build up in the head/brush, suction is compromised but only until one cleans the build up. Versatility It's a bit heavy so carrying it up/down stairs can be tiring after a while, but it's not that bad. Durability I've been a proud owner for 6 years and it is just as good as the day I received it. I've dropped it, rammed it into walls and it's still perfectly in tact.

Overall, for basic vacuuming this vacuum does a good job. It works well on multiple floor types. It does have some attachments which help with additional cleaning. It is worth the money, because it has lasted for years. Whereas other vacuums seem to break after a few years. Maneuverability This is like a typical vacuum, it is not the dyson Ball. It is easy to get it into most places, and if not the tube works great and is long. Suction Performance This works well for basic vacuuming. I have a dog that sheds quite a bit. She has coarse hair, and it can get every where. The vacuum does a pretty good job picking up the hair. But there is still hair left over. I wish it would do a little better. Versatility This vacuum works great on multiple floor types. I have used it on wood floors, different types of carpet, and tile, and it has worked equally good on all the different floors. Durability I have had this vacuum for over 8 year and it is still working great. It shows no sign of quitting. I am sure I will continue to get many more years of use out of it.

We bought this vacuum cleaner 7 years ago and still use it today. It does a great job. We have owned three houses with it. The first house we lived in for years and had a cheaper vacuum. The first time we used it there, we had to empty it twice because it was getting so much from the carpet that the other vacuum missed. The next two houses have been brand new construction and it does a great job with the new carpet! Maneuverability It is heavy. I do not like taking it up stairs but I do. Ease of Maintenance The only thing that I do not like is that human hair get raveled around the brush at the opening of the vacuum. I have two daughters and my self and and after about 6 months or so we have to get the scissors and cut the hair off it (which is gross because there is pet hair and dirt there as well!). You will know when you have this problem because it won't turn. Suction Performance This is what makes the price worth it!

This vacuum gets the job done well. It performs on carpeted, and non-carpeted surfaces with no complaints from me. In over five years of ownership our refurbished model has never broken, or worked any less satisfactorily than the day we got it. And while it may be the height of vanity to care about the aesthetics of one's vacuum, it's a much sleeker design than many, and I love the pearly pink color. We're also fond of the option to purchase factory refurbished models, as the regular price is not in our budget (though not unreasonable for the quality). Maneuverability It doesn't maneuver as well, perhaps, as the ball style models, but it certainly moves better than any other vacuum I've used. It's also not too heavy to lug up and down the stairs in multilevel homes. Even as a petite woman, I'm able to carry it around the house on my own without much effort. Ease of Maintenance My favorite feature of this vacuum is how incredibly easy it is to empty. I can remove, empty, and re-install the canister with one hand, and without having to touch a speck of dirt. We've also not had to put a lot of effort into cleaning the filters (once or twice since purchasing), but that may have something to do with how relatively seldom we get around to vacuuming. It's these features that lead me to call this vacuum the "perfect choice for lazy people." Suction Performance We've never noticed a decrease in suction power in the five years we've had our vacuum. I certainly wouldn't mind a slightly more powerful model. But I cannot complain in any change in performance. Versatility It's a basic vacuum with no special features, but I do love the ease in switching from regular mode to using the hose and attachments. It's simple, quick, and all the pieces are stored on the vacuum, which means no wasted space anywhere else in the house. Design It almost looks like something from the future, which might be off-putting to some people. But I quite like the design. And I love the color. The pink is a very pretty, light shade that, as silly as it may sound, makes me feel a little less unhappy to be vacuuming in the first place. And as mentioned above, the design allows for one-handed canister emptying as well as easy assembly and storage of the hose attachments. Durability Even with a pre-owned, factory refurbished model we haven't had a single break-down or problem in half a decade of ownership.

My husband bought me this as my birthday present when the 20+ year old vaccum we had went bad.  I had been wanting a Dyson ever since my mom bought the Dyson Animal and I witnessed how well it really did pick up the dog and cat hair at her house. We do not have any animals, just a baby.  But we have had our Pink Dyson for 2 years and I love it.  Some people complain that you have to empty it too often, but we don't have that problem.  I can honestly go a week (or longer) without emptying the container, but remember we do not have any pets.  Even so, it is not like you are "wasting" when you emptying the container, it isn't a bag- and you can dump it right in the trash can with just one hand. One of my favorite things about my Dyson is how "smooth" it is to run.  I actually ENJOY vaccuming now.  The attachments are AWESOME too.  I love how they are easily stored right on the vaccum so they are there when ever I need them.  The ONLY bad thing about the attachments is the long tube, it makes it a bit awkward to clean things that are not in small spaces.  But this is perfect for getting back into small spaces and cleaning the couch.

I had been using a Hoover Windtunnel for years. I have a daycare in my home, 2 cats, and a dog that by all means should be bald by now! I have a friend who bought a Dyson and loved it. I was hesitant at the orice but when I saw a good deal I decided to go ahead and buy one. And I love the color pink, and my mom had breast cancer, so it was a win-win deal. I did do some research on all the different models though just to make sure I wasn't paying for the novelty color of pink and getting a lower level Dyson. I was actually surprised by what I read on their website. They rank their vacuums by their suction power. The new DC28 Animal has a suction power rating of 245 air watts. The pink DC07 has a rating of 270. It has a 35 ft cord, and a hose reach of 17 feet. It has a carpet and bare floor setting. Comes with a lifetime HEPA filter that is washable. I love this vacuum and was disgusted by how dirty my carpets were before I brought it home.

This is the first dyson vacuum that I have ever owned. I had wanted one for a long time because I had heard what wonderful vacuums they were. I bought my vacuum about two years ago. The dyson advertises that this vacuum does not lose suction. I will have to disagree with them on this. I have noticed that over the past two years my dyson does not clean as well as it used to. I also have a little dirt devil vacuum at home. Sometimes I find myself using the dirt devil instead of the dyson because it is smaller and cleans about the same. The dyson is pretty heavy and it is hard to move up and down stairs. It falls over a lot especially when you are using the hose. On the flip side, I do like that dyson offers a five year warranty on their products. I havent had any experience with using the warranty but it sounds like they will cover just about anything for those first five years. Overall I am pleased with this vacuum, however I wonder if I could have found something cheaper.

we purchased this vaccum about 3 years ago on sale at our local target.  my wife loved the color (pink) so I couldnt resist buying it for her.  we had heard that the dyson was a great vaccum, so i decided, why not give it a try, plus it was in a color my wife loved.  a friend of ours had let us borrow hers so we could test it out and it seemed to work pretty well, which was another reason we decided to take the plunge and purchase one.  the only problem we have had with it is that it does not work well on gerber carpet.  the manual even says so.  when we try and pick up kitty litter, it spits it out the back of the vaccum.  if you run over the same area a couple more times, it generally picks up the leftover litter, but it can be a pain in the butt.  i have to say it works great on shag carpet, or longer carpet, but the gerber not so much. we still love to use it and would still reccommend it to our friends.

We have had this vacuum for about 2 years now and love it.  We decided to purchase it because a friend had let us try it out at her house and we were amazed at how it worked.  Then we brought it home, vacuumed with our old vacuum, then tried out the dyson right after.  We couldn't believe how much the dyson picked up that our old vacuum had left behind!  The only complaint I have with it is that it doesnt work quite as well on Gerber carpet.  The manual even says so.  It still works great, don't get me wrong, but trying to pick up cat litter can be a pain.  Becuase the litter doesnt sit "in" the carpet like most other types of carpet, the vacuum tends to shoot the litter out the back of the vacuum.  It's not that big of a deal to us because if we got back over the same spot a couple times, it usually gets all of the litter up.  Overall we love this vacuum and it seems to hold up very well!

We received this Dyson Pink Vacuum for Christmas a little over two years ago now.  And let me say, this vacuum is amazing!  With two small kids in the house (ie. mess makers!) this vacuum gets a workout.  We use it almost daily and it never fails to surprise me with just how much dust, dirt and crumbs this thing picks up on what looks like an already clean carpet.  It's bag less so that's great, and the filters are reuseable so there isn't an additional cost related.  I love the color of it and when we got it a certain percentage of the cost was donated to breast cancer research, which is always nice.  The price of the vacuum is a bit pricey, but totally worth it in my honest opinion.  We've had other vacuum's before and this one does the absolute best.  It comes with a couple different attachements.  The only thing I don't like about it is it does not have a flexible hose for using as a canister.
