I love my Dyson! — That sentence just about says it all.  Let me start out by saying that I am single, with no children or pets in the house.  I suffer from terrible allergies that seem to be even more aggravated in the summer and fall months.  After seeing… read full review »

This product was really great for about 6 months. Now I'm looking to purchase something new. This vacuum is kind of clunky not great for maneuvering tight areas. It comes with attachments that work well until the hose cracks, then its time to break out the duct tape.  I'm not a neat freak. I… read full review »

First of all, I should say a part of me winces every time I look at my Dyson DC07 vacuum cleaner.  First off, it's an absolutely ghastly sparkly purple:  Dyson must have cut a licensing agreement with Prince.  It has weird organic curves that makes it look like a refugee from the movie "Aliens".  When you're done using it, all the junk formerly in your carpet (presumably deposited there by you) is displayed for all to see in the clear compartment that traps the dirt.  Oh, and did I mention that I paid over $400 for it, perhaps twice what any vacuum… read full review »

We bought the Dyson DC07 Animal after a birthday of mine a few years ago. We run a pet rescue despite the fact that I am severely asthmatic and allergic to cats and dogs.  I used the cash, Target gift cards, and a couple hundred dollars in credit to purchase the $499 vacuum.  I use all kinds of medications and inhalers but I figured that any vacuum that could help to pick up pet fur and dander was worth the exhorbitant price. — This vacuum has a patented technology that maintains suction no matter how full the canister gets.  It's a bagless machine that amazes… read full review »

I know you have seen them on t.v. and when you checked them out online or in the stores, you probably were shocked by the price.  At first, I thought, "$400 for a VACUUM?  No way!" —  Well, after hearing testomonies of owners who would "die" for their Dyson and how great it works and having my $60 K-mart special vacuum cleaner catch on fire while in use, I decided I wanted a Dyson Vacuum Cleaner. — I searched the sale papers and online.  I found it on sale at a local store and I also had a 20% off coupon, Bingo! — I, now, have joined the "I Love My Dyson"… read full review »

After losing my Hoover Wind Tunnel, its $57 filters, $4 a piece bags, and 23# of back breaking vacuuming even with self propel; I found the first Animal I love.......... — — With 2 parrots, me with very long hair & I do shed, vacuums in my house do not last thru warranty. I get my $$ back on many Hoovers I've owned. — — With a new electronics store opening (HH Gregg) we saw the Dyson, much talked about in Consumer Reports, on HGTV & DIY shows. Lowes never heard of it, and their web site listed Best Buy, Target, Sears & H H Gregg. $399 (yellow), $499 (purple), $599… read full review »

While this vacuum tends to be pricier than most, it is by far well worth it!  The suction is awesome.  There are no bags to replace, no filters to replace.  I haven't had any problems with the machine since purchasing it fourteen months ago.  I live with my wife and stepdaughter plus my two daughters visit every other weekend. Between the long hair from the black lab and the girls' long hair, the brush bar has only clogged once.  The attachments are great, although the extension hose is not quite satisfactory for reaching all the way up the stairs.  Great… read full review »

I purchased this vacuum with high hopes and quite honestly it delivered.  My wife is a clean freak and hates carpet.  When I brought this home we immediately set it up and started in our living room.  We have no pets and vacuum once a week or more.  The first time we used this we had to empty it twice before we finished that one room.  Our other name brand vacuum needed to be emptied only on occasion.  Needless to say we vacuumed the entire house that day and still use it.  We have had this vacuum for four years and if this one ever quites I can say we will… read full review »

We've had our Dyson, pet version for about five years now. We aren't ones to spend this much money on cleaning products normally, but at the time, we had a long-haired, shedding dog, and keeping her hair off the floors was driving us nuts. The Dyson is remarkable. All of the attachments are on-board and very easy to attach, once you figure them out the first time. I love this vacuum! It's not a lightweight, but neither is it too heavy or unwieldy. I recommend it for… read full review »

Don't look at the pricetag, just buy this one.  If you are a pet owner, and your home needs to be "de-furred" constantly, you won't regret this purchase.  I yelled at my husband when he first bought it, due to the cost, but it's worth every penny.  If you are like us and have a "vacuum cleaner" graveyard in the basement, you need to seriously consider this Dyson. … read full review »

I love this vacuum cleaner, no jokes about it. First of all, when you've got that many pets, as we do, and always trying to keep your house clean, not many devices could be that helpful. Dyson Vacuum is very effective indeed: it picks up off your carpet any smallest particle, any tiniest hair or crum. I would recommend this machine to anybody, who has in-house pets. You won't regret it, believe… read full review »

This machine works very well, but there's a few things I'd like to warn. — I bought this vacuum a few years ago and use it at least twice a week. Dyson is great for suction power, but the extra $150 for the "animal" attachment was not worth it. I had it replaced once before they "redesigned it". I had to give a LONG complaint before they replaced it with the current model. The new attachment works better but can now be purchased as a stand alone item (for less than $150). I'm not really sure what the other attachments are for because they really don't do the job on the… read full review »

I have had the Dyson Animal for almost three years now and still love it.  The price was difficult at the time to justify but once I used the machine I was okay with the price.  Of course, I would like it to go down in price so I can buy another one for my second floor.  It is a bit heavy to lug up and down the stairs.  The suction is excellent.  It is scary to see how much comes out of your carpet.  I have two large breed dogs and a long haired cat.  You can imagine how fast pet hair ends up on the carpet and the hardwood.  I have never had a problem… read full review »

I clean houses for a living and I always use my clients vacuum.  I think this gives me alot of expertise in judging the quality and ease of use of different vacuum cleaners.  I can state with absolute conviction that Dyson is the most poorly engineered vacuum on the market.  It is a nightmare to use, picks up dirt poorly and tends to chew-up and spew out at high velocity whatever it fails to pick-up. —   When you use a Dyson you must have your cleaning plan of attack  prepared in advance, otherwise plan to spend most of your… read full review »
