I was very reluctant to spend $500 on a vacuum cleaner, but I must say that I LOVE my Dyson Ball. It easily goes around corners and has great suction power. The telescoping wand stretches 15 feet so getting the cobwebs out of ceiling corners are no problem. Of course I still have the get out the step stool in order to reach that high. The vacuum comes with a couple of attachments that store right on the unit itself. This is the first time I've had a bagless vacuum. I have been told that they are quite messy when you go to empty the canister. I don't find that to be true. The canister detaches from the unit with the push of button. Just put the canister deep into the trash can, put the button on the top of the handle and everything just falls right into the trash. Your hand never comes near the dirt either. You sometimes have to tap the canister against the side of the trash can though to get everything out. Once emptied, just push the lid close and it easily snaps right back onto the unit. My only complaints.... the telescoping wand is great that it is so long, but it is a bit stiff. When doing stairs because of the angle of the stair attachment, you kind of have to hold the wand at an odd angle which is a bit uncomfortable. 2nd gripe...when cleaning my hardwood floors, it sometimes blows dust bunnies away instead of picking them up. All in all, I love the vacuum. I'm just glad I paid 20% less by using a coupon at Bed Bath and Beyond!
