Dyson Animal Vacuum Review

Having 2 Great Danes means I need a vacuum that does it's job or it's out of here!  I don't have time to mess around with a vaccum cleaner that you have to go over and over and over a single spot in order to get the dog hair up.

I once read an article in "Hints From Heloise" that indicated one had to move one's pass a vacuum over an area eight times in order to get that area clean.  Can you imagine how long it would take to clean the larger sized houses of today?  Whew!

The Dyson Animal is an awsome vacuum and does a great job.  I'm mortified by the amound of hair and dust it picks up each time I vacuum.  It may have only been 3-4 (okay sometimes even a week) in between but it looks like we leave the doors open and run a kennel in here sometimes.

The Dyson makes it easier to deal with though because you have your telesopic wand attached for dusting jobs along with the tools so you don't have to run around looking for the parts and you can see when it needs to be emptied.  But, the absolute coolest thing about a Dyson is that it can't get anything caught in it or "jammed up" as I call it.  So, if you accidentally suck a wad of tissue in the thing and it's jammed up half way all you do is unsnap some of the parts until you find the offending tissue, pull it out, and snap the parts back together.

The vacuum also comes with extra hand held parts for stairs etc. that have rotating brushes etc. although I've never used them.  Also comes with a complete color manual and DVD on operations and how tos.  It's an absolutely perfect vacuum.

My son just bought the Dyson Ball.... He says it's perfect too.....  

I disagree with the posted cons except for the stiff hose.....

it loses suction IF IT ISN'T PUT BACK TOGETHER CORRECTLY AFTER EMPTYING.   IT ISN'T HEAVY COMPARED TO OTHER VACUUMS (unless you are using a stick vacuum) NEVER CLOGS UNLESS YOU ARE VACUUMING UP WET THINGS.  WORKS PERFECTLY ON DOG HAIR.
