The only reason I say that I'm an owner is that I invested too much into the vacuum to toss it out!!!

I am an owner of a full time child, one part time weekend child, a medium hair cat, a english mastiff, and a boston terrier.

I was at first in HEAVEN and grossed out all at once during the first initial handful of uses.

After about a month, it starts smelling!  Smelling like wet dog!  I was so disapointed because the description rants about clean air!  I had even taken the vacuum apart and super cleaned it numerous times.  It still smelt like dog.

We had laminate floors put in and I can say the option to turn the roller brush off was great.  However, I did not feel as though the vacuum was very good on edges.  I often found myself using the extender hose.

I'd save your money and get a general vacuum cleaner.  I do not understand the rave about the "Dyson". 

We have a backpack vacuum that I found on hsn.com.  It was roughly 150.00  I am amazed at how well this picks up pet hair and gets right up to your edges and base boards!!
