Best vacuum I've ever used

The suction power is amazing. We had two indoor cats when we bought this, and the amount of cat hair it pulls out of the carpet is incredible. Since we now have a third cat, this is needed more than ever! The vacuum is also great to use on bare floors with an easy switch to change position.
I have used this on large area rugs with no problems, but I would not suggest using them on smaller rugs or rugs with fringe around the edges because of the amount of suction.
One of my favorite things is that the brush bar is not the standard cylindrical shape like I've found in so many other vacuums. Our old vacuums always wound long hairs so tightly around the brush bar that they could not be cut off or removed to prevent problems. This brush bar is shaped differently, and when hair or any other fibers get wrapped around it, there is room to get a knife in for cutting the fibers away.
The attachments are just what I need and fit on easily. I like how neatly they are stored on the body of the vacuum itself and are never in the way. The hose stretches to an incredible distance, so I'm able to leave the vacuum itself at the base of the stairs and use the attachments all the way up.
When my husband and I started researching the Dyson vacuums, we most heavily considered the DC07 and the DC07 Animal. We decided on this one because we did not consider the extra cost for the Animal to be worth it. The Animal just has two extra attachments and a carpet care kit, none of which we need in our situation, and otherwise the models are exactly the same. I'm very happy with my DC07 All Floors.
