Durabrand Toaster - 2 slice Toaster —

I'm one of those people who don't like to spend a lot on small kitchen appliances. I could think of a million other ways I'd like to spend that money.Plus we probably use the toaster twice a month. Then it goes back into the cabinet. So when I buy those types of things I buy cheap. Unfortunately sometimes it doesn't work to my advantage.

The Durabrand 2 slice toaster was a bargain at $10. It has the basic functions of any toster. There are five settings and there is a setting that will stop the toasting. And when it's finished it pops your food up.

Now the bad things about the Durabrand 2 slice toaster. When the toaster ejects whatever food you have in there it only pops up most of the way. Then you have to manually move the button to push it up. The cord is too short. It's only about 12 inches so you have a limited space to put it in. Another issue is the crumb tray. The only way to access it is from the bottom. It makes a mess.

Probably the worst thing of all is this toaster is a safety hazard. The toaster gets extremely hot when it's on. Hot enough to burn someone. I should have known that buying a $10 wasn't the smartest idea. Don't buy this toaster. Durabrand should actually think about recalling it, if they haven't already.

I know this wasn't supposed to be a funny review, but it made me laugh. You're a good writer and I could invision the problems you mentioned :)

I hate my toaster for many of the same reasons you mentioned but like you; I don't want to sink a lot of money into an appliance that I'm not using on a regular basis.
