Dunkin' Donuts Original Blend —

Being a daily coffee lover and drinker, I was thrilled to accept a sample of Dunkin' Donuts Original Blend Coffee that is currently being introduced to grocery store shelves across the country. We don't have Dunkin' Donuts chains in my immediate area but I have visited several in other cities and states. When you go in for donuts, you end up having coffee too. So now you can enjoy this brew in the privacy of your own home....that is if you like it!

Dunkin' Donuts Original Blend Coffee

Dunkin' Donuts Original Blend Coffee
is marketed by the Procter & Gamble Company. It is available in 12 oz. packages that retail for about $7.99 each. The coffee is ground and ready to brew. It is made from premium coffee beans and is a medium roast coffee.

My ViewPoint

I can remember enjoying this coffee while at a Dunkin' Donuts facility. It was rich and full of flavor. However, this blend did not meet my expectations for a good cup of coffee or the flavor and quality I remember from the past. Maybe they brew it stronger in the stores?

I made a pot of Dunkin' Donuts Original Blend Coffee according to the instructions on the package I received. It was enough to make 4 cups of coffee, each cup being 6 fl. oz. The results of this brewing was a total disappointment to me. This didn't resemble the Dunkin' Donuts coffiee I remembered at all. The coffee is weak, even for a medium roast. It's not full bodied, it's not full of flavor. To me it is like drinking flavored water.

Most of you know I'm from Louisiana and we all grow up on a local coffee that is rich and full of flavor (Community Coffee). I will admit that after drinking Community Coffee, we are pretty much ruined for getting addicted to any other coffee. Another words, it will have to be really good coffee to pass the test. Dunkin' Donuts Original Blend Coffee does not pass the test. To be fair, I did find the coffee to be low acidity. High acidity in coffee is a big problem for some people so i wanted to mention that.

I also wanted to mention the cost.  At $7.99 for less than one pound of coffee, I expect a bit more flavor.  Our local Community only costs $4.99 for a full pound.  I guess I'm spoiled for life when it comes to good coffee!

All in all, I drank this coffee--all four cups. I don't like to waste things. It was ok and a hot beverage containing caffine, but it wasn't my regular cup of coffee. I was disappointed in Dunkin' Donuts Original Blend Coffee. It's just an average cup of coffee and I'll leave it at that--3 VP's!

I would assume the whole bean and freshly ground is way fresher than getting this ground and pre packaged--that is what this was. Anyway, didn't thrill me so bake to Community!

Same here. The flavor really surprised me and not for the best!

I don't know. The whole bean DD I have them grind for me at the store is rich, deep and satisfying. I think the secret to making good coffee is to never read the directions on the can. More coffee, less water! About Community Coffee. I have been known to fill my trunk up with Community Dark Roast whenever I'm in bayou country. Just recently noticed it in South Florida stores. That's coffee!

I had Dunkin Donuts cappuccinos once. They were... ehh.. Luckily for me most the Dunkin Donuts around me are also Baskin Robbins and that's where I get the awesome Cappuccino Blasts!! Yum :) If they could package that flavor, I'd buy it in a second.

I often hear how wonderful Dunkin' Donuts coffee is, but it's never struck me as particularly earth-shattering. Glad to know others feel the same way...

I'm not a coffee drinker-- but hubby does enjoy picking up coffee from DD.

We bought this a long time ago and realized (It was on sale - maybe buy one get one) that we had to use twice as much as any other coffee so that was it for DD! Jo
