When it comes to baking, I am a bit illiterate. So I get my family to help me out when it comes to baking cupcakes for certain parties and outings. The first time I baked with this box cake mix, I was surprised how it turned out. The taste was not flat, and it did not crumble like other box cake mixes. I did do some alterations with the recipe on the box. I added a package of powdered vanilla pudding to the mixture as well as an extra egg. This makes the cake a lot more moist. Others can add sour cream, it all depends on your preference. The cake mix does not hurt my wallet at all it is affordable. It mixes well and clumps were not prevalent while I mixed it. As for the frosting, it was made with powdered sugar, butter, and vanilla extract. I will definitely try other box cake mixes that Duncan Hines offers, the taste is classic and just has that home-made goodness that is hard to find with other box cake mixes I have used in the past.
