Yeah, yeah, yeah, so the weather is damn cold in Duluth (even in August). Yeah, yeah, yeah, so the last time a black person visited Duluth he was lynched (actually, I think local lore says there were three of 'em, but that was before my time). — — Is there anything wrong with a frozen tundra covered in feet of thick white snow populated only by thick white Scandinavians? I don't know, the place is what it is, and it is always cold, and there is no ethnic diversity. This city is wickedly freezing most of the year.  The 2000 census reports it is 94% caucasian.  There's one good college, and there's good conversation at coffeeshops with strangers, if you're into getting some frostbite on the way there and probably not encountering any… read full review »
