Quick View
Duwop Venom Gloss is one of my favorites for color and plumping. It's thick and somewhat sticky but I really love the shades and the slight plumping I get with it.
Full View
I know not many lip plumpers really plump lips but I can't help but to try them anyway. One I love - plumping or not - is Duwop Venom Gloss. I have two shades that I feel are must haves and a few others that are nice with certain outfits.
The Gloss
This gloss comes in a squeeze tube and is highly pigmented. It is thick and a bit sticky which allows it to stay on my lips longer than thin gloss. The pigment is high so I get great color. As for plumping, well, my lips tingle and burn a bit when I use this. I like the cinnamony tingle I get but some may think it is painful. The blood rushes to my lips in response and I get slightly plumper lips. The tingle only lasts moments and the plumping only lasts about 20 minutes to a half an hour but the color and shine last about two hours unless I eat.
One tube goes a LONG way. I have had mine for months and I use them often and they are still nearly full. I love how they make my lips tingle and how pouty they look when I wear this gloss. There are many shades from clear to deep reds, browns, plums, and corals. One will be perfect for you. There is no glitter or shimmer in these glosses but there is lots and lots of shine.
My Viewpoint
While Duwop Venom Gloss doesn't plump my lips a LOT, it does plump them some and it makes them look slick, shiny, and pouty. The shades are not sheer. They are boldly pigmented but are very slick and shiny so you get a lipstick effect with a glossy shiny one in one tube. Plus that tingle. Think Carmex or Vicks times 10. Love it!
I wear these glosses for the shades and for the way they make my lips look. If I only wanted plumping, this wouldn't be my gloss choice. Although I DO get some plumping for a while, it's certainly not a lot and not lasting. But the gloss still makes it to my top 10 favorites because of everything else I mentioned. If you are very sensitive to pain, you may think this gloss hurts. Otherwise, you may just like the tingle as I do. I give this gloss 4 stars. It's great but doesn't really plump much so I can't give it the 5 stars I want to.
