I wasn't the first to make the comparison between the recently released film Drillbit Taylor and a film from more than twenty-five years ago, My Bodyguard. The filmmakers did this as well, and even acknolwedged this with a well-timed cameo. — — While admittedly, I first turned on My Bodyguard as a teenager to watch any glimpse of Matt Dillon that I could get, it quickly became one of my favorites because of other reasons as well, inlcuding the humor and the intelligence it had. Drillbit Taylor is hilarious, yet relates to teenagers that get bullied at the same time. The actors are mostly all pretty young, and did great as nerds and bullies. I would recommend this to an older audience, for the humour is pretty mature. Teens will have a laugh at this, and (hopefully) remember this movie the next time they want to bully someone, 'cause look how the bullies ended…
