This book was written before Obama began his political journey which may end in the White House. It is interesting and moving regardless of who the author became. It is especially revealing to those interested in his thought process and what shaped him into the man he became. Dreams of My Father is highly recommended for any reader.

Barack Obama learned about all of his family members backgrounds to see where he came from. Even though Barack's father was not there, he visioned what his father wanted for him in his future, becoming President of the United States
