Dreams is one of the best places to stay in P.V. The location is unbeatable, with the best beach in town it is secluded and private between two cliffs so you feel like you are at your own private resort yet you are a $4 cab ride to town. The hotel grounds, the pool, even the drive to the hotel is… read full review »

The management staff, the check in staff and the concierge staff were absolutely horrible. If it wasn't for the bellman or the poolside waiter, my friend and I would have had a terrible stay. The food in the restaurants was not very good. We paid for all inclusive but dined out for dinner the… read full review »

This was our third visit to this hotel over the past 3 years. While the past 2 visits were excellent, this visit had a few problems. After checking in and arriving at our room and unpacking, some other guests entered our room and told us that this was their room.My wife was extremely upset and told them that we had been assigned this room.About 15 minutes later, some children shook our door and yelledlet us into our room.As I was about to pick up the telephone and dial the front desk, the telphone rang and a male voice asked mewho is this?I replied who is this? The gentleman stated that he was… read full review »

Dreams was a great vacation. My boyfriend and I went there and it was amazing. We got a standard room but lucked out with a balcony. Everything there was beautiful and green! We went in August, so the days were mostly sunny (and humid!) and there were amazing thunderstorms at night. We got to watch baby sea turtles be released into the ocean! The two best dinner restaurants byfar were the Seaside Grill and Portofino. At Portofino, they can make you a dessert where they light spoons and glasses on fire with alcohol... it was pretty fun to watch. Seaside Grill was beautiful, and you could watch… read full review »

My husband and I felt so at home at Dreams resort and spa. The rooms were large and all appeared to have either a balcony or a small courtyard if you were on the first floor. The bed was firm, but we like it that way. Although the furnishings showed wear (chips in the bathtub, stains on the hard back chair cushion, worn looking dresser everything appeared clean. The bathroom had large containers of shower soap, sun screen, shampoo etc. There was a cooler box (I cannot call it a refrigerator as it never really got up to cold temperature) filled with soda, water, juice, beer. The staff was… read full review »

Dreams Puerto Vallarta Resort, was a very beautiful resort. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was GREAT!! Everything was about presentation from the food to your room. This was our 10 year anniversary, we went without our children but would definetely take our children back to this resort. It was great to have an adult pool with a waiter that was always there to get you a refil. As for the main pool it was great for all ages and it had a bar in it. The drinks were ALL GREAT!!! Our room was very spacious, and since we had an end room(1501) our bed faced the ocean, so we could… read full review »

I have been to several mid-level all-inclusive resorts (Jamaica, Dominican Republic & Cancun) and have enjoyed them all to varying degrees. Some had better food (but most were buffets), some had better service while some had better liquor and beer choices. They never seemed to all come together until we found DREAMS in Puerto Vallarta. 5 restaurants of which 1 is a buffet (and was still great) and no reservations are required. No shorts in the indoor restaurants so bring a couple of pairs of slacks. Try the lasagna with crab meat in the Italian restaurant. If you like sushi, it is available… read full review »

Dreams Puerto Vallarta was nothing short of wonderful. There were three generations traveling with us, young adult, middle aged, and one elderly. We all had a great time, the younger two kayaked, swam, attended daily yoga class, explored the private beach; the oldest lounged under the cabanas ordering drinks and relaxing all day. All of the restaurants were great, and the waiters catered to your every whim! Every restaurant has a view of the ocean, and there were several times when we watched a paraglider fly down and take people up for flights right from the beach. They keep the… read full review »

This is an all inclusive, and beyond the meals and the room, you get your own beach, an oceanfront room, and all the activities you desire. Regular rooms are fine, well appointed, mini suite with jacuzzi built into balcony floor a real treat. The food was better than good, fresh, well presented, and you can order as much as you like. Vegetables were a bit ordinary, but that was OK. Drinks at the bars were light on alcohol, but no-one slowed down the pace of bringing them if you wanted. The resort grounds and facilities were well kept, the beach in a 'bay' of its own. Staff was… read full review »

Dreams was a very nice place to spend a week with the family. I have older (collge age) kids and they really enjoyed their visit. The rooms were nice and large, clean and comfortable but not the standard of say here in the US. (Remember you are going to MEXICO so dont expect it to be just like the hotel downtown) The dining facilites were wonderful. There are several resturants to choose from and all of them are very nice. The Seaside Grill was our favorite but get there early so you can sit inside and out of the sun. I hate to sweat during dinner. The other resturants were very nice… read full review »

Our group absolutely loved the feeling the mountains gave the resort! Dreams had a great beach where it was never difficult for us to find chairs to sit in. Bars, pools ,and a grill were only a few steps away if you wanted a change of scenery for awhile, but we were more than happy sitting on the beach all day. The service was great and we were always treated very nicely by the staff. We had a mishap checking in, but Dreams compensated by giving us a room on the highest floor that included a balcony--the view was absolutely amazing, and since everyone has an ocean view, you're sure to… read full review »

This was the first time we had been to an all-inclusive resort, and we were very impressed with Dreams....just wish we would have stayed longer! We had a beautiful room (all are ocean view) - and we especially loved the fact that you don't need to make dinner reservations. During our 4 night stay, we dined at all of the specialty restaurants, and also ate in the World Cafe (buffet). The food was excellent, and the cocktails from the various bars were all premium drinks (not watered down as I had read in some previous reviews). The staff at the hotel is very friendly and they go out of… read full review »

My son and I had an excellent time. The restaurant staff are top knotch -- friendly, engaging, and extremely attentive. The food is wonderful - lots of choices and not the typical buffet chow line. Our room was very nice, although my son complainted the mattresses were too firm. We had an excellent view of the pool area and Banderas Bay -- great for watching the evening storms. The property is gated and the beach is accessible only to hotel guests. Local vendors sell jewelery and other items on the beach. They were honest, polite, and respectful. My son thoroughly enjoyed the deep tissue… read full review »

The Dreams Resort and Spa in Puerto Vallarta was amazing! I could list good things all day. Let me just tell you what was bad. The beds were a bit hard. Thats it. We asked for a mattress pad, which they brought promptly, though the bed was still a little hard. However, from the moment we arrived til the bell hop put us into the cab I was treated as a king. Champaigne welcomes you with a cold wet towel to cool down too.... check in is a breeze, no ID no nothing.... your luggage is taken from you before you even go to check in, then is brought up to you extremely promptly, you are given… read full review »

Our stay at Dreams was wonderful. They greeted us with a cool towel and glass of champagne when we checked in and the service remained the same throughout our trip. The staff was great, so professional. The hotel has 5 restaurants, we enjoyed all of them except the Mexican restaurant. Service at the pool and beach was great, waiters came by on a regular basis to see if you needed anything. Our bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The room was quite spacious, it had a table with two chairs and a sofa and coffee table. The trip to town took about 5 minutes and cost $4. There were always… read full review »
