Clogs Vanish with Drano Max Gel Clog Remover Commercial Line!

Every now and then, my bathroom sink begins to drain slowly.  I believe this occurs because I sometimes trim my hair over the sink and the hair goes down the drain. I always buy the commercial version of **Drano Max Gel Clog Remover**.  You will only find this product in a DIY home improvement store.  I don't know if this clog remover is more powerful than the regular Drano or if it is only renamed for the home improvement stores. The commercial version of **Drano Max Gel Clog Remover** comes in a yellow 42 oz. bottle with a black label.  The words "Drano Max" are written in bright red. The bottle dons a black twist off cap which you must press down to twist. The **Drano Max Gel Clog Remover** is a thick liquid which you can pour right into the drain for a slow running drain.  For a completely clogged drain with standing water, the product can be poured through the water and it will go straight to the clog. According to S.C. Johnson, the maker of **Drano Max Clog Remover**, the product is "safe for plastics, PVC, metal pipes, garage disposals, and septic systems."  The product contains a special ingredient to protect pipes from corrosion and contains no phosphorus. For my slow running drain, I pour one half of the bottle (21 oz) slowly into the drain.  I allow the product to work for approximatley thirty minutes.  Then, I flush with hot water.  If the drain remains to run slowly, I repeat the process again. There is a chemical odor to this product, but dissipates after it is flushed from the drain with hot water. **Ingredients:** Bleach (Sodium Hypochlorite) Water Cleaning Agent (Proprietory Surfactant Blend) Caustic (Sodium Hydroxide) Builder (Sodium Silicate) **Danger:** Keep out of the reach of children, harmful if swallowed, may burn eyes, skin, and mucous membranes on contact. After using the commercial line of **Drano Max Gel Clog Remover**, my sink drains quickly again - that is until my next hair trim! Thank you for reading my review.

Drano works

I've heard people say that Drano didn't work for them, but it's worked great for me.  Just follow the directions on the back, I think I had to leave it sit in the drain for a time period and then rinse with hot water, but I have an extremely clogged drain and Drano cleaned it out so it ran smoothly.  Now it has to be a very harsh chemical to be able to eat the stuff up in drains so I warn to proceed with caution, try not to get it on skin, wear gloves if you must and make sure you wash any off your skin that might get on your skin.  Also I think even the scent can be potent, so I recommend you not breathing it directly or for a very long time.  I would suggest leaving the room or opening the window or both for that matter.  I never looked at the health effects of Drano but it's better to be safe than sorry.  All in all, I think Drano is a great product, but you have to use a large quantity of the bottle in the drain so it doesn't last long.
