Bottom-Line: Dragon Wars had zero entertainment value, well almost zero.  The script sucks, the CGI and other special effects are marginal, and the acting is sub-par.  Recommendation: Skip It!  — Written and directed by Korean born Hyung-rae Shim Dragon Wars is in part based upon a 16th century Korean fable and there is where the story starts with magic and mayhem, lust and love, dragons and men.  But eventually we end up in modern day Los Angeles, where the fable continues apace.  The fable as told in the movie is convoluted and a bit messy, but involves a… read full review »

   Dragon Wars is one of those movies where the best thing you can say about it is that it has great special effects. The story is confusing...something about giant serpents called Imoogi ( one good and one evil ) who both want to be transformed into dragons and ascend into Heaven. Of course only one can achieve this and the evil serpent, Buraki spends most of the film trying to track down Jason Behr and Amanda Brooks, who play star crossed lovers who killed themselves 500 years ago to stop Buraki and now find themselves born again to help the good Imoogi win.
