Dragon Wars Review

   Dragon Wars is one of those movies where the best thing you can say about it is that it has great special effects. The story is confusing...something about giant serpents called Imoogi ( one good and one evil ) who both want to be transformed into dragons and ascend into Heaven. Of course only one can achieve this and the evil serpent, Buraki spends most of the film trying to track down Jason Behr and Amanda Brooks, who play star crossed lovers who killed themselves 500 years ago to stop Buraki and now find themselves born again to help the good Imoogi win. They are aided by Jack, played by Robert Forster, who is the born-again version of an ancient wizard or samuri or something.

   However, the movie is entertaining. The effects are top notch and the plot moves along nicely. I bought this movie after renting it just to have something mindless and cool to look at from time to time.

   My recommendation- rent it first before shelling out $20.00 to buy it. Then if you, like me find it worth it...shell out the $20.00!
