My old tennis shoes were getting ragged after so much use especially after walking a couple of miles a day. I do not like shoe shopping so I delayed getting a new pair. In Wal-mart whose one-stop shopping appeals to my non-shopper self, I got a pair of Dr. Scholl's tennis shoes. Wow, the padding makes walking great. Since I tend to go for the cheapest shoes, they can have the most basic materials, but these shoes have it all. Thick soles, sturdy support, and gel insoles below the heels.

The box says the gel insole is an energy button so I am going to need to press that often! I like the gray color too because it does not show dirt as much as white does. The price is reasonable too which is a must since I am not a Sex and the City character who is going to spend all my money on shoes. The only complaint I have is a little of the tubing on the side of the shoe is coming off, and the shoes are only a month old. However, I am using the raggedy shoes for heavy walking and saving the new ones for special occasions. A girl has to be fancy!

I have several of the inserts - the Gellin' etc. I also bought a pair of suede Scholl's - with a high ankle- come to thing of it I like those. Hmmm I just paid $85 for sneakers! jo
