Dr. Pepper -- it's good, it's older than the Statue of Liberty, and nothing appeases Goszilla better!
Created in 1885 -- it's older than Sears and Coca-Cola.
Love the slogan and song -- "I'm a Pepper too!"
Loved the song revised to be "Dr. Pepper -- give me the news -- I've got a bad case of lovin' you! No other drink but you will do, I've gotta bad case of lovin' you!
The movie "Godzilla 1985" had a Dr. Pepper machine in it. Hence, that's where I think the Godzilla/Dr. Pepper commercials came from.
Dr. Pepper isn't shy about revealing to people exactly what's in it -- no hidden formula!
Dr. Pepper actually had a centenial can -- unlike Coke (1986) or Pepsi (1998).
Anything older than the Statue of Liberty that was good back then -- it still awesome now!
Dr. Pepper got a bad rap for leaving "under God" out on their Pledge of Allegiance cans that they soon cancelled because people took the message wrong. That was dumb of the public -- I'm christian and I love God, and I've no problem with the message "One nation...indivisible." I mean -- gee wiz. Let the people think and realize what it is that makes us indivisible -- Who else but God. The atheists can not believe this Truth all they want -- but it doesn't change that it's God who makes us indivisible. I mean really -- to spell out the message "under God" takes away the power of the mystique that everyone knows that's what words belong in the "..." It adds drama as to get a person to think about -- "and what is it that makes us one nation indivisible -- oh yeah, God!" That sure would have shook up the athiests for people to have that reaction. And in truth, Dr. Pepper corp. had no intentions of dissing God with the cans. It was a case of that the message is long to put on the can (which does sound lame). But really -- that long of a message takes away from the drama that we are united, and the awe provoking question of why??? -- Well duh -- because of God!
