Experienced parents rave about Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby bottles. Parents claim it is revolutionary and the best baby bottle on the market. They consistently use terms like "best", "A++++", and "Lifesaver". Parents also report that Dr. Brown's baby bottles are especially helpful with gassy children or colicky babies. Depsite their love for the product, they also note that Dr. Brown's bottles come with some extra cleaning due to their small parts. (so be prepared for more work!) Before my baby girl was born, I did a lot of reading about new baby products (because our kids have quite an age difference and a lot of new stuff have come out recently), and Dr. Brown's bottles were the only bottles to get a popularity award from parents/readers of American Baby magazine. That caught my eye, so we bought these bottles for our baby. I know many people complained that they are hard to clean, so I immediately set up a convenient system of cleaning them - I put a basin of soapy water by the kitchen sink and once the baby finishes her bottle I disassemble it immediately and put…

Breastfeeding just didn't work for me. I wanted to be able to breastfeed my baby but I was not producing enough milk. I was forced to rely on bottles before going back to work in which I hoped I would be able to supply the sitter with breast milk to pour into bottles. A friend gave me 6 Dr. Brown's bottles when she saw them on my registry stating that they made her baby's colic worse. I used Playtex nursers until my son was ready for more than 4 ounces and then began using the Dr. Brown's bottles and I am so glad I did! I never had any…

I was devastated when I found out I wouldn't be able to nurse my son 2 years ago. I wanted him to have the best, and that meant a great bottle as well as the best formula I could buy. — Dr. Brown's bottles fit the bill! — They are a little pricey but I haven't had to replace a single thing due to wear (only to losing or destroying pieces out of carelessness.) Unfortunately, I haven't found them at either of the grocery stores I patronize, but I have found them at Babies R Us, WalGreens, and online. The best onlines prices I've found are at Kidsurplus.com. Replacing a vent or…

Practical, very happy with this product, Against difficult assembly!, willing to pay for quality
I love these bottles and my son was not colicky. I had a lactation consultant who actually recommended these when I was not producing enough breast milk and needed to supplement. We had tried Avent bottles (actually received a whole "newborn starter set," but found that not only did they leak, but my little guy kept gagging for some reason (might have been a fluke). Once we switched to Dr. Brown's, the leakage and gagging problems were solved. — I know that others have talked about issues with cleaning all of the parts, but I just stick everything in the dishwasher - I have one…

Although I feel the concept of Doc. Browns bottles is a good one the difficulty in keeping all the parts together and clean did not appeal to me. I have used these bottels a few times for gas/colic and there was no diff. it how our baby was feeling. After several months the parts became clogged and difficult to clean, I also lost the cleaning brush and parts to the bottle itself. Granted I was using these with newborn twins so maybe that is why I lost a lot of parts (sleep deprived and all) but it still wasn't worth the hassle. —…

Practical, hate to waste money, family oriented, value conscious
I had previously written a review of the playtex ventaire bottles that bent towards unfavorable as i had switched to the drbrowns and found them to be more effective for my baby at reducing gas. This was mostly due to the stage 1 nipple that my baby could not get enough formula out. Ok so on to the DrBrown bottles...They work for my baby! What I like about them is I notice a real difference in my babe's behavior with these. She is happier, less gassy and spits up less. I should mention my little one has reflux. — What i do NOT like is the price, the cleaning ritual…

When my son was first born my friend recommended that I purchase these bottles right away. I bought the starter kit and opened them before my son was even born. First I couldn't believe how many parts there were to one bottle. Each on has a bottle, a nipple, a filter, a storage cap and a regular cap. There also little brushes to clean them. — — Every night after using these bottles I would was them by hand. I wouldn't let anyone else wash my son's bottles. I was a control freak about it. But then I started getting tired. It too much time to wash them every night. So I went…

When a new product comes out I try to review it and decide if I should incorporate it into my program. This bottle fell to the bottom of my list quite quickly. I have tried it with 7 babies so far. Aged 6 weeks to 13 months. None showed less gas, spitting up, or fussiness than when fed with a standard bottle with brown natural nipple. It was also a pain to assemble and clean. When I put the liquid in, then the powder, and stuck in the straw, it seems like the powder would always get in the straw, that was a pain. A lot of people think the babies…

mom of 2, very happy with this product, not rich, value conscious
I used Dr. Brown's bottles from the first day that I brought my twin boys home from the hospital. They were recommended to me by an acquaintence and I am so glad that we had that conversation! My boys are 2 years, 3 months and have NEVER had an ear infection and they were not spitters. Today they have a healthy body and a very healthy appetite!!! My nephew, who is 6 years old, was a spitter, had acid reflux, had ear infections often, and did not like to eat (still doesn't to this day). When my sister in law had her second child in January, she used Dr. Brown's…

I have 5 children. I was not introduced to this bottle untill the 4th and was i ever so happy. This bottle is the best bottle ever. I love that there is no air bubbles to be taken in by the baby. no tummy aches, no need to gas drops and not a sign of reflux. this bottle is perfect for any mother nursing or bottle feeding. I personally nursed my children but when i need to use a bottle and it was so refreshing to know they were getting the best. I do wish there was another type of nipple to use closer to the shape of a mothers breast that…

My sister and I had babies around the same time. Her's was colicky and mine was not. She gave me a Dr. Brown's bottle and told me how fabulous they were. I never noticed a difference in my son's gassiness or my neice's colic. I am not so sure the bottle really made a difference one way or the other. I thin kthe high cost and hype might be causing a bit of a placebo effect. After paying $15.00 for a stater kit, you really want to believe that they…

I love these bottles. My baby hardly ever spits up and his gas has been greatly reduced. I had heard that they were hard to clean, but I have not found that. I rinse them out right after I use them and have had no problems cleaning them. There are two extra pieces to wash but I think it is worth it. I have not had a problem with them leaking, but I store them upright when they are…
