Our baby was colicky, gasy and cried constantly because of it.  My lactation specialist suggested using Dr. Brown's bottles and zap the problems disappeared.  I love these bottles because of that BUT they are harder to clean and keep clean.  There are many parts to the bottle but here again if you don't mind cleaning the parts these bottles are a blessing.  Once our little guy got to be about 6 months old and more developed he wasn't as fussy and we ventured on to an easier bottle to keep clean (see the Avent review I did).  I would suggest Dr. Brown's if you have a gasy, colicky baby.
