My first child had cholic and although I was breast feeding, I sometimes pumped and had my husband help with the feedings. Each time he was bottle fed, he would spend about an hour screaming adn wining as if in severe pain. This made it very difficult for me. Since this only happened after being bottle fed, I tried to do all the feedings but when I returned to work, we had to rely on bottles.
We tried several bottles, focusing on the nipple, trying to find one withteh nipple most like a breast :) A friend at work mentioned to me that she had the same problem and said that the Dr. Browns bottle really relieved her son's gas and so the pain and discomfort after feedings.
We tried the bottle and had immediate results. We now have a second baby and have used the Dr. Browns bottles and have had no problems.
