I have a son and the first thing that interested me when I bought Doctor Browns free is that this bottle helps prevent colics. The bottle comes with 3 separate parts the bottle itself and there are two plastic small parts that you put inside the bottle before you screw in the nipple. Those are the parts that are supposed to prevent colics because they control the amount of air that gets through when the baby is using the bottle. It is a good quality product and I would recommend it. The only thing that I did not like about it was those small parts that you have to assemble before...
read full review »Dr. Brown's baby bottles were my first choice when it came to bottles for my youngest They cost a little more than other brands, around $5 a piece but I was willing to pay the extra money for a bottle that looked like they worked well, made in the USA and BPA free.
My son never had colic so I'm can't tell you how it works with colicky babies. However I can tell you that my son rarely had gas and hardly ever spit up.Dr. Brown's works like no other bottle. The website says.
"Our Dr. Brown's bottle features a patented two-piece internal vent system that works unlike any other bottle design. The...
read full review »When my baby came from the hospital, she would not drink out of most the bottles that we had purchased before she was born. Even though they were labeled as newborn nipples, she was getting too much...too fast! Our baby had stopped breathing several times within a few days of bringing her home from the hospital and would scream like she was so uncomfortable. She would also gurggle on the milk. She was diagnosed with acid reflux. I finally found the Dr. Brown bottles and figured I had nothing to lose. They looked kind of strange and so I had passed by them several other times but this...
read full review »Dr Brown bottles are wonderful. I love the they now come in BPA free. We did use the BPA bottle with out older daughter (BPA free wasn't avalible) and made the choice to buy all new with our younger daughter. The only complaint I have about the BPA free bottle are the markings on the side are hard to read on some. I bought 3 packs at the same place and one had blue writing and the other just have raised writing in well clear. Those 4 am feeding are a little hard to decifer some days. Other than that they are wonderful. They do have a lot of pieces but that's why they work. All the...
read full review »I had about 30 Dr. Brown's bottles when the BPA scare came out about bottles. I was very disappointed about getting rid of all my bottles but was not about to use a product known harmful to my child. I got to hand them all into Babies R Us for store credit and got the BPA free polypropylene bottles opposed to polycarbonate bottles. They're light weight and I can wash them in hot water with out worrying about the release of chemicals. My child eats with ease and has no gas or fussiness when using this product. I trust in the Dr. Brown name and am buying more of their product come this fall when...
read full review »I was really hesitant to use these bottles because of the extra parts however, once I got past that I will never use any other type of bottle. My newest son has severe reflux and was very colicky and everyone suggested that I try these bottles but the thought of the extra parts really turned me off. I finally decided to use these bottles and they have been a blessing for us. It really take no extra time to clean the extra parts or assemble the bottle. I don't know what I was afraid of with these. They really help my son with controlling the amount of bubbles he swallows. I would recommend...
read full review »My experience with Dr. Brown's BPA free bottles has been positive so far. They are reasonably priced. The accessories ( the nipples and dishwasher basket) are also reasonably priced. I melted part of the bottle in the dishwasher, I am not sure if they sell replacement parts or not. It doesn't leak while feeding unless you forget to put all of the parts in it.
My son is a spitter. It has not reduced the amount that he spits up like it claims to. There are a lot of parts, but it is dish washer safe so it is not a big deal to me. If you wash your bottles by hand, this might be...
read full review »The Dr. Brown's natural flow bottles are really nice. They come in two sizes with most of the parts being interchangable for both sizes. The bottles have a soft nipple that sits on top of a straw like tube and something similar to a valve. This system helps reduce the amount of air that you baby takes in while they are eating and it seems to work for us. Each pack of bottles comes with a tiny bottle brush to help clean out the straw but I have found that if you rinse it out soon after using the bottle and then was them in the dishwasher (in one of the little dishwasher basket, in the straw holes)...
read full review »The Dr. Brown's BPA Free Deluxe Gift Set is ideal for any parent who is bottle feeding wether it is breast milk or formula. The set has everything that you will need! The only essential thing that this set does not bring is the large bottle brush, which is very important. But other than that, this set brings more than enough four and eight ounce bottles, level 1-4 nipples, cleaning brushes for the tube/ vent system, and storage caps! The bottles are awesome. They really help reduce gas, which is great for the baby. It's great for mom, too! If used properly, these bottles will not leak! These are...
read full review »Dr. Brown's BPA Free Polypropylene 8 oz Bottle is a marvel of engineering. It allows air to flow in through the ring around the nipple, up through a stem to the base of the bottle which prevents your baby from needlessly ingesting air bubbles that can cause gas and tummy upset. My doctor reccommended these to me for my fussy, gassy, colicky daughter and the change is amazing. I would reccomend these to any new parent before gastrointestinal problems occur- why not fix the problem before it starts? I've talked to several other parents who have had the same good things to say about these bottles....
read full review »When it comes to Dr Brown infant bottles, there is only one word to describe them...amazing! We began using them with our first child back in September 2008, after being referred by other parents and freinds. My wife and I are both very pleased with the way gas was virtually eliminated. Our baby very rarely ever had gas or spit up using these bottles. I highly recommend these great bottles to any soon to be parent or new parent. The parts are very easy to clean and are very easy to sterilize. They are also BPE free and that means alot to us as we only want the best for our daughter. Knowing she...
read full review »Dr. Brown's BPA Free Polypropylene 8 oz. Baby Bottles are our favorite baby bottle. We have used them exclusively with our daughter and we have had little to no problem with spitting up, excessive gas or anything of that nature. The design really does seem to eliminate the build up of air bubbles and we can really tell a difference between these bottles and the bottles we used with our boys. We feel relieved to be able to feed our daughter with a BPA free bottle to help us to give her the healthiest start possible. We wish these had been available when our sons were on the bottle. Although...
read full review »I decided to use the Dr. Brown BPA free 9 oz botttles when my youngest daughter had a hard time sucking some of the other bottles because her mouth was so small. I breastfed mostly and used these when I supplemented. She was only 5lb 5oz when she was born so she had a hard time sucking larger tops. She had no trouble at all with these.
I have switched my son's bottles like 5 times already and he's only 5 months. I used the Dr. Brown's for the longest time tho. In my opinion they didn't do what they said they were made for. Like reducing spit-up & gas. Plus washing these bottles was a pain. Too many parts. These bottles are too expensive and too much of a hassle.
Dr Bowrns 8 oz bottles are wonderful in reducing excess air ingested from drinking too fast. Baby controls the amt of formula/breast milk that they drink. BPA free.
