Ah, good 'ol Dr. Bronner. If you have never been introduced to his products, the Peppermint Liquid Soap would be a good place to start.

First, if you're concerned about your health and the environment, you're gonna love this product as all oils and essential oils used are certified organic. The plastic bottle used is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastics. Aside from that, when possible the rest of the ingredients are bought through fair trade.

According to Dr. Bronner's website, peppermint oil is a mild stimulant so expect it to revitalize your mind and awaken your senses. (I know a good shower with this soap has helped get me going on many sleepy mornings!)

It comes in a variety of different sizes: (prices taken from drbronner.com where they offer free shipping with a minimum of $20 purchase!)

* 2 oz -> $2.49

* 4 oz -> $3.75

* 8 oz -> $5.75

* 16 oz -> $8.99

* 32 oz -> $14.49

* 1/2 gallon -> $26.99

* 1 gallon -> $49.99

Aside from being very economic, the soap is very concentrated, so even just a little drop goes a very very long way.

One of the fun things about using Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap is figuring out different ways to use the product.

Here are some of the ways I've been using it:

- Shampoo = This can dry the hair out a bit so what I do is squirt a bit of soap into a cup, fill it up with water, and then use this shampoo my hair and then follow up with a moisturizing conditioner. Since this soap is strong on my hair, I only use it once a week, mainly to clarify my hair and remove all other by-products.

- Toothpaste = Yes, I thought it was crazy when I first heard about it. But put a drop on your wet toothbrush (add some baking soda if you wish) and brush your teeth and you'll get a minty cleansing (with maybe a hint of soapyness which you can just ignore).

- Laundry Detergent = I also use this for those days where I just can't make it to the laundromat and I'm running out of clean socks and underwear. (Hey, I'm in college! I do a lot of bathtub-laundry)

- Dishwashing Liquid = Perfect for camping because this product uses essential oils and natural products (Water, Saponified Coconut-Hemp-Olive Oils (with retained Glycerin), Olive Fatty Acids, Peppermint Oil, Rosemary Extract) so I can use it to wash dishes while camping and not feel guilty about chemicals getting into the ground and polluting our water supply.

Wow on using it as a toothpaste too...not sure I could handle that, but it sounds good for camping and laundry
