I love to try different skin care products. When I read about a product that had 18 different uses, I knew I had to check it out. I ordered a 4 fluid ounce bottle and decided to take Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap for an extensive test drive!
This product is a transparent, yellowish liquid that resembles olive oil. It contains coconut oil, olive oil, hemp oil, jojoba oil, and peppermint oil, among other things. The fragrance really seems to be just peppermint which is very pleasant and refreshing.
The manufacturer claims that there are more than 18 uses for Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap but they just can't fit them all on the label. (The label is over crowded and kind of frightening with its fanatic "All-One" message.) You can use this soap as: body wash, face pack, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, laundry detergent, countertop cleanser, dog shampoo, shaving lotion, floor cleaner, bath soak, etc. Really, you are limited only by your imagination.
I've used this product as a body wash, bath soak, face wash, dog shampoo, human shampoo, and toothpaste. It was wonderful for the first four uses and absolutely dreadful for the last two. It leaves skin feeling cool and tingly and dog fur super-clean and soft. The shampoo experience was unplesant but the toothpaste ordeal was downright horrific. Take my word on it--don't attempt to use this product to clean your teeth!
At just $2.49 per 4 fluid ounce bottle, its an incredible value. I've used my bottle off and on for the past 6 months and I still haven't finished it off! It may be difficult to find this soap in your area. I've found it only in one of the natural shops in town. Its more easily located online and I bought mine from drugstore.com. Speaking of which, it's time for me to order another, larger bottle of Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap. I love it and plan to continue using it for as long as I can find it.
