I've always been paranoid about anti-perspirants/deodorants and smelling since, well, probably since I first started using them. My husband used to laugh at me when we first started dating because I would reapply my deodorant several times throughout the day just to be sure that I wasn't stinky or sweaty. A few years ago a friend suggested the Dove line of products, so I grabbed a tube of Dove Ultimate Clear Cool Essentials Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant at the local Target. Since then I've been using this great product and have never looked back!
Although the tube states that this is an "ultimate clear" product, it is opaque white. It does go on clear if you apply just one or two swipes, but I like to use a bit more than that which negates the "clear" claim. The cucumber & green tea scent is pretty much the same (but less intense) as Dove's Cool Moisture Body Wash--light, refreshing, and with just a little hint of perfume. I can smell it as I apply it but, beyond that, the scent dissipates which is fine with me.
My classroom is on the second floor and is not air conditioned. There are many days at work that I sweat like a pig and feel the back of my shirt getting damp. Dove Ultimate Clear Cool Essentials Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant is strong enough to keep me fresh and dry even during the worst days when it is 94 degrees in there. (Yes, I've measured the temperature... one of the perks of being a science teacher.) Despite the fact that I may personally be uncomfortable, this deodorant and anti-perspirant combo never lets me down. This product is powerful enough that I don't feel the need to reapply it every few hours. I'm not going to lie, I do reapply just before I go to bed but that is more out of paranoia than actual necessity.
At about $2.50 per tube, I think that Dove Ultimate Clear Cool Essentials is a great deal. It may not be completely "clear", but it is powerful enough to keep me dry, fresh, and confident on even the hottest days. Highly Recommended!
