practical, budget conscious, married, trying to take good care of my hair, trying to make my hair DO something, growing out my hair, in need of volumnizing hair products

Dove Shampoo and Conditioner were products that I purchased to try to make my hair beautiful and soft. I was greatly disappointed. Since I used them together, it is difficult to differentiate which product was worse for my hair. My hair is naturally fine and straight. Dove made it limp and difficult to style. It says that it leaves your natural oils in your hair. Unless your hair is desert dry and brittle, natural oil is not going to help it look better. My hair is normally quite dry, but this product made it- like I said- limp and unmanageable.
