Great Stuff!

I use Dove soaps, lotions, body washes and deodorants, but until recently, I had never tried any of their hair care products. I had a coupon for Dove Intense Damage Therapy Conditioner, and my store was running a sale, so I decided to give it a try. My hair is definitely a problem child, so I was curious if Dove could live up to the promise of Intense Therapy. I opened the bottle and was immediately impressed by the scent of the conditioner. It was fresh and pleasant smelling. The conditioner itself was silky and thick, and when applied to my hair, it worked into the strands nicely. It wasn't greasy feeling, which is always a good sign. After leaving it in my hair for the recommended time, I then rinsed it out and was again impressed by how easily it rinsed out, leaving my hair feeling light and clean. Some conditioners feel like they never get completely rinsed out. I knew the real test would be how easily my wet hair would comb out, and again, I was impressed. There were very few snags and tangles, and as I dried my hair, I couldn't get over how soft it felt. Once completely dried, I was very pleased to see that my hair was soft, shiny, silky and very manageable. For the first time in a while, my hair actually looked healthy. Dove Intense Damage Therapy Conditioner will now be a staple in my bathroom.

It does okay but it isn't as amazing as it claims to be.

I tried this over the summer because in the summer time my hair takes the most damage. Not only do I damage my hair with products and styling tools, I also add in the element of the sun and chlorine from pools. I usually get a new conditioner every two weeks or so because my hair is over three feet long. It takes a lot more conditioner for me than the normal person would use. I like to wash and condition at least every other day and frequently condition 5 times a week. This conditioner is supposed to be great for hair that has been damaged with dyes and styling. My hair has been significantly damaged by both, especially on the ends. I tried this out over the summer and it was okay at best. It does come out thick and fairly creamy but when I put it in my hair and let it soak for a few minutes, it doesn't seem to do anything more significant that other conditioners. This did okay at conditioning my hair my but it didn't really do any deep conditioning. My hair was left soft and silky and easy to brush. It also smelled very nice but my split ends didn't feel any better. I didn't notice any help after two weeks of using this. My split ends were still crispy and my hair was still breaking. I liked this is an everyday conditioner but it wasn't much for intense damage therapy. Effectiveness It is an okay conditioner but it wasn't very good and repairing damaged. I expected more help with my split ends. Scent It has a nice, citrusy scent.

Dove Intense Damage Therapy Conditioner actually works!

5

My hair was fried. Over-bleached, over-dyed, naturally fine and limp. Washing it was a nightmare, I could feel the strands snapping as I rubbed in my normal colorfast shampoos and conditioners. Forget trying to comb it while it was wet, I felt like I might as well be yanking it all out. Then I won a coupon for a free Dove haircare product in an instant win game. I actually intended to just grab some shampoo for my husband, until I spotted the Intense Damage Therapy products. "Wow!" I thought, "That totally describes my hair!" So I opted to get just the conditioner, since honestly, I have never noticed any difference between any shampoos ever. Even cheapies. Even the Intense Damage Therapy shampoo, after I finally decided to pair it with the conditioner. But I digress.  The first time I tried this conditioner, the change was instantly noticeable. My hair did not break as I applied it. I could actually *run my fingers through my wet hair *as I rinsed! Afterwards, I tentatively reached for my wide-toothed comb, and very carefully ran it through my damp hair. No breakage! It was incredible! It had been months since I had been able to comb my hair before it was completely dry. Even then, I had to be very careful. Now, I can comb and even brush my hair again, wet or dry. I can't say with any certainty that this product will actually repair damaged hair. I think if I switched to another conditioner, I would end up with the same results as before - brittle, super weak hair, uncombable, almost unstylable. So I don't think that my hair itself is repaired. However, when I use this conditioner, my hair is better. Softer, stronger, and more like natural, healthy hair. It may just be covering up the problem, but until my natural hair grows out more so I can start again from scratch, the difference between my hair on other conditioners and my hair on this conditioner is so incredible and pronounced that I can't even care if the wool has been pulled over my eyes (or hair). Update 02/12 - This conditioner stopped working on my hair some months ago. I don't know if it was because I just had a baby and my hormones were throwing it out of whack or what's going on, but I switched to a cheap regular conditioner and there is no difference anymore.

Dove Intense Damage Therapy Conditioner LOVE IT!!!

I love Dove Intense Damage Therapy Conditioner.  Dove is a great product.  I love the way that this conditioner makes my hair smell.  I love the way that my hair feels after I use it!  My hair feels so silky and soft.  I love the way my hair feels after I use it.  Dove makes great products and their products are definitely affordable.  I use Dove often to keep my hair feeling great.  I use a blow dryer and a curling iron on my hair every day.  This damage therapy conditioner helps to keep my hair healthy after all of the abuse.  It  keeps my hair looking and feeling great.  I would recoomend Dove Intense Therapy Conditioner to everyone.  This is a versatile product that would work on many hair types.  I am a big fan of Dove hair products.  I love the quality and the value that you get from Dove!  Dove is also very gentle on my hair.  I will continue to purchase Dove hair care products!

Expensive, but Good Quality Conditioner

I commonly use DOVE products. The name is associated with quality health and beauty products. I began using the DOVE line for their soap. My happiness with the soap led me to try this conditioner. First, I love that this DOVE conditioner is not highly perfumed. I am sensitive to obnoxious smells. In addition, I most enjoy clean, fresh scents. This conditioner satisfies both of these personal requests. Second, the DOVE conditioner works wonders on my frizzy hair. On a personal note, I tend to leave a little bit of the product in my hair after each shower. In other words, I do not rinse the product out completely. I do not add any other hair products after showering. The remaining conditioner works wonders and keeps my hair in a beautiful, pleasing condition all day long. Third, the DOVE conditioner untangles my hair successfully. I have experienced very little hair loss from this product. Because my hair is frizzy, I often have to fight it when I use a comb after my showers. Since using the DOVE conditioner, combing my hair takes little time. I never see large clumps of hair on my comb.

If It Works on My Chemically Treated Locks, It WILL WORK FOR YOU

After thirty years of coloring; perming; blow-drying and using hot electric rollers it is rare that I find a conditioner that really does the job in taming my dry and damaged hair.  **Dove Damage Therapy (Intensive Repair) Daily Treatment Conditioner **exceeded all of my expectations.  I used both samples that were sent to me today because I have long, thick hair.  It states to leave it in for just a few minutes when I thought it would take longer however after the application I noticed Dove working right away.  My tangles were coming out while I was rinsing my hair.  I love this product and will be purchasing it in the future.  My hair needs extra protection during the winter months (fly away strands) because of the furnace.  Did you know that coloring your hair cause's the greatest damage to your hair?   I started showing signs of gray in my early twenties and began using dye way back than.  Unfortunately after years of abuse, the damage is very noticeable.  On Dove's hair website they also state that simple activities like towel drying and brushing your hair causes damage also.  So all of us women are in this together.  Three cheers for Dove!  Excellent product with quick results!

The scent is what drew me it, that's about it

Dove Intense Damage therapy conditioner is ok I suppose.  The scent is what lured me in, because it's the trademark Dove scent (just go to the store and open a bottle of Dove shampoo if you don't know what I mean).  You fall in love with it.  But that's about it.  It's a thick, rich conditioner that goes on well and when you rinse your hair it feels smooth and silky, but when it dries it feels coated and almost crunchy because of the silicones.  And I'm not anti-cone in conditioners, but this one just feels like you have just straight silicones on your hair.  And that makes it harder to style.  My diffuser got stuck in my hair from my blow drier and my straightener wouldn't keep my hair straight.  The scent does stick in your hair, but after I straighten my hair, it smelled like burnt hair and Dove conditioner, not a good scent.  I suppose the repair part of the conditioner is just the silicones coating the hair to make it look repaired, but the truth it, there's no real way other than a haircut to repair hair.

One of the best conditioners I've ever used.

I love this conditioner. Dove Intense Damage Therapy Conditioner is hands down one of the best conditioners I've used and that includes the ones I've gotten out of hair dying kits and some of the pricier salon brand kinds. Even after the first use it did my hair a world of good. Not since my pre-hair dying days has my hair been this soft and healthy looking. Best of all unlike salon brands I can get this for an affordable price in most stores.

Excellent Conditioner!

I can't say enough how impressed I was with this conditioner. I have horribly dry hair and it is thinning out as well. It tends to tangle very easily because it so fine and thin now. I have had nothing but bad luck with conditioners and I expected this to be more of the same. I was very wrong! This conditioner really works well. My hair felt soft, looked shiny, and very full after using this conditioner. It also did a great job of detangling my hair. I let my hair air dry after using the condioner and it had a lot of bunch and waves to it. I continue to use this product because it works so well. I have even received compliments on how my hair looks. That hasn't happened for years. If you have very dry, damaged, fine hair, I would definitely recommend this product!

Great quality product

I happened to buy Dove Intense Damage Therapy Conditioner, just by chance, on my routine shopping to the departmental store. My wife has beautiful long hair. when we moved to another state where weather is dry as compared to our native humid. Her hair began loosing shine and was getting dry, fizzy and LOT of split end along with hairfall. We had earlier picked up some other shampoos and conditioners promising the same 'damage repair' tagline but she was never satisfied with any until we started using Dove Intense Damage Therapy Conditioner with another suitable shampoo. this conditioner has definitely helped my wife regaining her beautiful hair back, she does not have the hair problems anymore and the hair are slikier, smooth and she is not afraid of maintaining the long hair. I would definitely recommend this.
